First, draw a sketch of your mask. According to the finished sketch, you need to fashion it from plasticine. If it is too hard, soak it in warm water for a few minutes and it will become soft and pliable.

PVA can be used as glue, but for working with children, it will be safer to make a paste. To do this, in half a glass cold water mix thoroughly with 2 tablespoons of flour. Bring water to a boil (1 cup) and pour the resulting mass into it, while stirring be sure. After a minute, the paste is ready.

While the glue is cooling, prepare the paper. Tear newsprint and plain paper into pieces about 1.5 x 1.5 cm

Now we make the first layer of white paper, but glue it with water. This is necessary so that the mask can easily move away from the plasticine.

Second layer. We glue newsprint with glue, like all subsequent layers.

The third layer is white again, the fourth is newspaper, that is, we alternate layers so as not to get confused. It is necessary to make 9 layers.

Now you need to let the mask dry. You will have to wait a couple of days. Then carefully remove the plasticine.

Cut the edges of the mask with scissors, sandpaper protect the surface.

It remains only to decorate the mask and it is ready!

3. If you want to do voluminous ears, sew two pieces of fabric for the ears and horns, stuff them with padding polyester and attach to the headband.   • Wet the surface of the plasticine base with water from a bowl. It is important that its entire surface is wet. After that, attach all pre-torn paper pieces to the base so that it is all covered with them. The entire goat mask should be lined with paper in 1 layer.
  • Allow the first layer to dry a little, but do not allow it to dry completely. After that, dilute PVA glue with water in a ratio of 1 to 1. Dip a brush into the resulting mixture and generously grease the entire future muzzle of a goat with it. Along the way, it is worth pasting over the surface of the muzzle with pre-made scraps of paper, periodically smearing with diluted glue. From newspapers or scraps of paper in this way, 3-4 layers must be made on the basis.
  • After that, similarly tear white writing paper into small pieces. It also needs to be glued to the base in 3-4 layers. Do not spare glue, paper pieces should be well saturated with it.
  • The base should be left to dry for about a day. After the goat's head is dry, you can remove the plasticine. You can cut pieces of plasticine with a clerical knife. With a knife, you also need to trim the edges of the product so that they are smoother.

  • The papier mache goat mask is almost ready. Now a white base has appeared, which now needs to be painted. You can color the goat according to your taste and color. Surely the child will be interested in putting his hand to decorate the muzzle.
  • In order for the mask to stay on the head, it is necessary to attach an elastic band on the sides. To do this, use a hole puncher to punch 2 holes. And thread a rubber band through them. Its length is measured in such a way that the mask is securely fixed on the child's head.
