Crochet summer cat hat. Crocheted hat with ears, diagram and description. Description of knitting a cat hat

This kind of jockey hat or cat cap, as it is often called, is perfect for autumn or spring. There are several varieties of this model: a hat with a small visor, with a brim in the form of a hat, a hat with an elastic band and with long ears with ties for the little ones. This article will contain descriptions of all the hats. It is better to knit them from medium-thick yarn or 2-3 threads so that they keep the shape of the ears and brim well. This is probably the most complete collection of material on crocheting hats with ears. Create for your own joy!!!

This hat is knitted based on the hat of the resourceful craftswoman Yulia Ilchenko, who invented the technology of knitting ears that are one-piece with a bottom. Description from here.

For knitting we will need:

  • thick yarn 100 g/100 m (I have yarnart merino bulky, alize superlana maxi is also suitable) - for an OG of 56 cm it took 150 g or one and a half skeins. On summer hat with a brim, I would recommend raffia (a child’s hat with a width of 50 cm requires 2 skeins, an adult’s hat with a width of 56 cm requires 3 skeins)
  • hook No. 5 (for raffia - No. 3/4)

The hat is entirely knitted, nothing is sewn or tied, it is knitted in a spiral. We start with the standard BOTTOM (circle):

1st row - 6 sc in amigurumi ring (6)
2nd row - 1 increase in each sbn of the previous row (12)
Row 3 - *1 sc, 1 increase* 6 times (18)
Row 4 - *2 sc, 1 increase* 6 times (24)
Row 5 - *3 sc, 1 increase* 6 times (30)

And then attention (!) we begin to knit the ears, we do it like this: in addition to the increases in the bottom, we select 2 points on the sides (for me this is the 8th loop from the beginning of the row and the 8th loop to the end of the row) and knit 3 sc at these points, like this :

6 row - 4 sbn, 1 increase, 1 sbn, 3 sbn in 1 sbn of the previous row, 2 sbn, 1 increase, * 4 sbn, 1 increase * 2 times, 1 sbn, 3 sbn in 1 sbn of the previous row, 2 sbn, 1 increase, 4 sc, 1 increase (40)

And so we knit 4 more rows with even increases - 6 sc in each row plus 3 sc on the sides for the ears, while the loops in which we knit 3 sc for the ears should be located in each row strictly under each other (see fig. 1). Next we knit 2 rows without any increases in the ears. We knit the next 5 rows with uniform, mirror-image decreases in the ears (see Figure 2), while continuing uniform increases around the circumference of the bottom (6 sc per row) every 1/2 row (depending on the size of the hat).

Next, we continue to knit the hats with TURL - I got 11 rows with thick yarn. We tie the cap to the depth you need.

If you want a visor, we knit it as follows: select 28 loops in front of the hat, mark them with markers and when knitting the next row, knit the marked loops behind the front wall of the loop and 2 more rows according to the pattern (see Fig. 3).

Master class on crochet cat hats with elastic band

MK from SM from Nika2. I will knit a hat for 7-8 years old from Children's whim yarn in 2 threads, crochet No. 3, knitting needles for elastic No. 2.75
You don’t need to crochet it tightly so that the hat doesn’t look “oaky.” If you crochet it tightly, then take a larger hook.
As for calculating the size of the cap, use this table as a guide (but I want to warn you that any table is not entirely suitable for this model, at least approximately).

  • sc-single crochet
  • KA- amigurumi ring
  • pr-increase
  • Control-triple increase (we will knit 3 sc in one loop in the eye)

We knit in the round, without connecting posts!
1-6 sc in KA
2- 6pr
3- 1sc, inc
4- 2sbn, inc
5- 3sc, inc, 1sc, Control, 1sc, inc, (3sc, inc) x2 times, 1sc, Control, 1sc, inc, 3sc, inc

Mark the middle of the increase in the ears (this will make it easier for you to find where to add the increase next time)
If the cap is under 3 years old, then 6 such increments are enough, if the child is older, then 7-8 increments

6- 4sc, inc, 2sc, Control, 3sc, inc, (4sc, inc) x 2 times, 3sc, Control, 2sc, inc, 4sc, inc
7- 5sbn, inc, 4sbn, Control, 4sbn, inc, (5sbn, inc)x2 times, 4sbn, Control, 4sbn, inc, 5sbn, inc
8- 6sbn, inc, 5sbn, Control, 6sbn, inc, (6sbn, inc)x2 times, 6sbn, Control, 5sbn, inc, 6sbn, inc
9- 7sbn, inc, 7sbn, Control, 7sbn, inc, (7sbn, inc)x2 times, 7sbn, Control, 7sbn, inc, 7sbn, inc
10-8sbn, inc, 8sbn, Control, 9sbn, inc, (8sbn, inc)x2 times, 9sbn, Control, 8sbn, inc, 8sbn, inc
11-9sbn, inc, 10sbn, Control, 10sbn, inc, (9sbn, inc)x2 times, 10sbn, Control, 10sbn, inc, 9sbn, inc
12- 10sc, inc, 11sc, Control, 12sc, inc, (10sc, inc)x2 times, 11sc, Control, 12sc, inc, 10sc, inc

After the additions you should get something like this

We look at the size of the bottom according to the table, mine should be at least 16 cm, I’m still making increases.

After this you should end up with something like this in the photo:
don’t forget to hang the marker on the middle loop of the eyelet, this will make it easier to make decreases later

We knitted 13-14-15 rows without increases in the ears and now we begin to make decreases. There should be as many of them as there were increases (if there are 6 increases and 6 decreases, if there are 8 increases, then there will be 8 decreases).

We also look at the diameter of the bottom; if it is small, then we continue to make increases in the bottom.
I made increases in the bottom in rows 13-15, and then knitted without increases in the bottom, but with decreases in the ears.
After making some adjustments in the ears, this is what I got.

Then I simply knitted a sc to the desired height of the cap (leaving 4 cm for the elastic).
And at a height of 15 cm, I switched to 2.75 knitting needles, knitting another 4-4.5 cm on circular knitting needles (here you can adjust the height of the cap - knit less or more elastic).

To cast on the elastic, we do not break the thread, the loop we have is purl and then we cast on loops along the edge of the cap, starting with the front one, and knit a 1x1 elastic.

I closed the elastic band with a needle, how to do this, watch the video part 2 from 14 minutes. The bow is a hollow cord. I really like to make ties in hats with a hollow cord, they turn out very beautiful and neat, only for the ties I use a thread in one fold so that the tie is not thick.

Wet heat treatment

How I do it.I wash the product by hand (water temperature is about 30 degrees), with delicate wash gel (in no case with powder), if you don’t have gel on hand, use shampoo, I can leave it in the bath for 5-10 minutes so that the loops have time to straighten, then rinse in clean water, and rinse in the air conditioner, there the product lies for 10-15 minutes, wring out and dry, I put small things on the windowsill on a towel, heat comes from the radiator and dries quickly enough, if you really need it urgently, then I put the towel on the radiator and on towel product.

For those who like to knit from the video, there are 2 parts of the lesson on a hat with ears with an elastic band

Hat with ears

Description of the hat for OG 50. The description is practically no different from the previous hats, the only difference is in the description of the knitting of the bottom, that is, the crown.

  • yarn - a little more than a skein of Trinity “Snowdrop”,
  • 100% cotton, hook number 4

1st row - 6 sc in amigurumi ring (6).
Rows 2-4 - knit in the round with 6 increases in each row (24).
Row 5 - we begin to knit the ears, we do it this way: in addition to the increases in the bottom, we select 2 points on the sides (for me this is the 5th loop from the beginning of the row and the 5th loop to the end of the row) and knit 3 sc at these points.

6-12 rows - we knit with uniform increases - 6 sc in each row, plus 3 sc on the sides for the ears, while the loops in which we knit 3 sc for the ears should be located strictly under each other in each row.
13-14 rows - we knit without increases in the ears, but with increases in the bottom (6 sc in each row).

Crochet hat with ears

Notes on knitting. No. 1 Hat with closed ears

Knitting such a hat is very simple. Even those who have just taken the hook. I hope these posts help someone.

The main knitting techniques in our case are chain stitches, single crochets, double crochets, and connecting stitches.
1. Air loop (abbreviated as V. P.)

2. Single crochet (abbreviated RLS) .

3. Double crochet

4. Connecting post (loop)

First you need to select the yarn, thinking in advance about how the colors and patterns will be arranged.

I knit with Pekhorka Romantic yarn (100% cotton) 100g per 200m. Here it is.

It is thinner than the yarn from which the hats are knitted in the photo, and what is the difference - you will notice for yourself

So let's begin
Do air chain from 4-6 loops (this depends on the thickness of the yarn you choose)
Close the chain into a ring with a connecting loop
Next, knit in a circle according to the chosen pattern. Before starting each new row, perform lifting loops. For the row with sc - 1 chain stitch, for the row with dc - 3 chain stitches. n. End each row with a connecting loop.
In the first pattern - knitting sc, in the second - dc.

Thus, you need to knit a circle with a diameter of 12 cm, making increases in each row, then make increases every other row until the circumference is equal the right size the head for which you are trying

After this, there is no need to increase, knit the hat in the round until the last (bottom row). Gradually your circle will turn into a cap.

Imagine, play with colors and patterns.
Once the cap is ready, mark the edges of the ears with a contrasting thread.
The width and height of the ears is a matter of taste.
After attaching the thread, knit the first row of the eyelet, turn the product over, make lifting loops and knit the next row. Make reductions according to the desired size of the ear, for example, this diagram.

And here's what happened to me

Having finished with the ears, we tie the edges. For this hat I chose a fan band

Single crochet techniques are often used.
Next, we make ties, stretch threads into the lower edges of the ear and braid, secure with a knot and trim the ends

Head circumference: 50 cm. Yarn: “Ivushka” Semenovskaya yarn (50% cotton, 50% viscose, 430 m/100 g). Hook: No. 1.5 Description: Crochet hat for girls We start knitting a hat from the top of the head. To do this, fold the thread into a ring. 1...

Nowadays large relief knitting is in fashion. Warm hat with ears for girls is crocheted in large size. We are sure that your child will like it. Complete with a hat, you can also knit a snood of the same color. Our detailed master class and diagrams will help you in your work. Head circumference 50-51 cm.

To work you will need:

  1. Cashmere or wool yarn with acrylic - 100 grams for a hat and 50 for a snood.
  2. Some white yarn.
  3. Hooks number 4, 7 and 8.
  4. Centimeter.

We knit in three threads. Knit with regular single crochets. You can do it for warmth.

1st row: on hook number 7 we collect 3 air loops and close the circle.
2nd row: 9 single crochets.
3rd row: 18 columns (2 in each previous one).

Next, it all depends on the size you need to knit. We need to find out OG. To do this, you need to measure the child's head with a centimeter. Take OG and divide by 3.14 (Pi) and subtract 2 cm. If the hat is lined, then subtract 1 cm. For example: 51:3.14-1=15.2(15). Then we knit without adding to the required length.

A table of sizes may be useful to you, but they do not always match, everything is individual.

The hat was 20 centimeters high.

Then we knit the ears. Using the same hook number 8. We start from the top eye ( dark color). We knit with single crochets.

Don't forget to tie the parts. Ear knitting pattern:

We knit the inner ears. We work with white yarn and crochet number 4. The pattern for the light ears is the same plus 1 increase or more for 2 rows. We tie the parts around with single crochets.

We sew light ears into dark ones. The light ears are smaller than the dark ones because they are crocheted with number 4 and in two threads.

We finalize the ears.

Sew the ears to the hat. It would be nice to first baste and try it on for a girl. Don't forget to sew on a button.

How to knit a ribbed elastic band:

This is a finished elastic band, only 3 rows:

Then we switch to hook number 8 and knit with single crochets.

After the elastic band, we knit 15 rows with single crochets. As a result, the snood turned out to be 15 centimeters high.

This is the width of the snood.

Add 3 rows of elastic to the height. The end result should be 17 cm.

Let's embroider this crab.

The end result was beautiful and snood.

Crochet something like this for a girl in a few evenings. Color may vary, there are several options at the end. Product for head sizes 46-48. Height when put on is 17 centimeters. If you need a different size, increase the number of columns around the circumference and rows in height. You can take yarn of a different thickness.

To work you will need:

  1. Pink yarn (wool with acrylic) - 80 grams.
  2. Yarn gray(wool with acrylic) - 50 grams.
  3. Hooks number 2.5; 3; 4.5 mm.
  4. Some black and white yarn.

Knit cap

First we make the cap of the hat. We start with pink thread. Wrap the thread around your finger twice and remove the ring. In this double ring, knit the 1st row: 3 chain stitches and 11 double crochets. Tighten the ring. We knit the hat with double crochets, add 12 stitches in each row (that is, knit 2 stitches in 1 at equal distances). To lift to the next row, knit 3 air loops. After 10 cm of the diameter of the circle, we make additions through the row. Knit the expanding part until there are 72 stitches in a row. Next, we knit exactly to the desired height (17 cm). 12 rows are knitted with pink thread, 3 rows with gray thread.

Ears for ties

Divide the circle knitting stitches into 5 parts. One for the back, two for the front and one for the ears. We will knit the ears with double crochets, alternating knit and purl rows from the base. The first purl row (that is, we knit it with the work turned wrong side towards us) is equal to 15 stitches. There are 6 rows in total: we knit the first 2 evenly, then in each row we remove 2 stitches at the beginning and at the end of the row, that is, we knit 3 stitches together.

Harness

Along the bottom edge of the hat, knit a row with a single crochet, at the points of the ears, knitting 3 stitches together, at the tips of the ears, 2 stitches from 1.

Prepare 6 pieces of yarn 80 cm long. Thread it through the center of the eyelet. Let's braid the hair. Let's make a knot. We knit flowers according to the pattern.

Ears

Knit the back of the ears according to the pattern with pink yarn. Knit the inner part with gray thread. Fold both parts of the eyelet and tie the upper edges with 3 rows of single crochets. Knit 3 stitches from one at the top of the eyelet. Using pins, pin the ears to the intended location. It needs to be positioned symmetrically. Sew pink thread onto the back of the ear. Carefully sew on the gray part with matching thread.

The nose is knitted with black thread: first a triangle is knitted, then it is knitted with one row of a single crochet. The eyes are knitted according to the pattern: 4 rows with black yarn, the next one with white yarn. Knit according to the pattern:

We put a hat on a jar or ball, prick the nose with needles in the center at the junction of gray and pink, and the eyes above it. Twist the black thread and embroider mustaches and eyelashes. Sew on beads.

Knitted hats for children are always in fashion. They are warm, beautiful, practical. You can buy a ready-made hat, or you can knit it yourself.

It is mistakenly believed that knitting a hat is as easy as shelling pears. After all, for this you need to have perseverance and know at least a minimum of the basics of knitting. However, if you have these qualities, you will be able to knit a hat.

First of all, you need to choose a yarn that is suitable for a product such as a children's hat.

Children's knitted hat must correspond following criteria:

  1. It should be comfortable, that is, not slipping, not puffing up, not pressing. Yarn plays an important role in this matter.
  2. The child's head should not sweat. Therefore, the yarn must be natural.
  3. The hat should not be prickly. Wool is not the best in this regard. suitable option, although wool is a natural and warm yarn. You can't do without synthetic additives. In addition, synthetic fibers help maintain the elasticity of the product.
  4. The hat should be appropriate for the season. Remember, cotton summer yarn, wool, wool mixture - winter.
How to choose yarn for a children's hat

Important: To knit a high-quality, seasonally appropriate hat, pay attention Special attention choice of yarn.

For spring The following hats are suitable: types of yarn:

  • Cotton with acrylic
  • Merino wool (it is not itchy) for early spring
  • Acrylic (yarn is easy to care for, soft, but not natural)
  • Alpaca and microfiber

Many mothers want their child to be dressed not just warmly and comfortably, but also fashionably. In a crimson hat with ears, the girl will look stylish, and paired with a coat, your girl’s image will be bright, fashionable and original.

The hat is knitted from the crown. Select suitable yarn. Not very suitable for this hat fine yarn(75% acrylic, 25% wool will be just right).

Knitting description:

  1. Cast on a chain of 6 air loops and close it into a ring.
  2. In the second row, knit 12 double crochets.
  3. In each subsequent row, increase the number of double crochets.
  4. Tie a circle using an enlarged method that will correspond to the diameter of the child’s head.
  5. Then, until the end of knitting the hat, knit with another pattern: seven double crochets in one loop, count five loops, from the base of the sixth loop, knit seven double crochets again.
  6. Connect the bundle of posts with a connecting loop. In each row, the columns are arranged in a checkerboard pattern.

To knit this hat you will need two colors of yarn. The yarn can be half wool and half acrylic. You can take another composition, for example, 75% wool, 25% acrylic. You will need a 3.5 mm hook.

  • Like most crochet hats, this one needs to be crocheted from the top of the head.
  • Make a ring of air loops.
  • In the next row, double the number of stitches by working a row of double crochets.
  • In the third row, double crochets alternate with embossed stitches.
  • In the fourth row, knit 2 double crochets, 1 raised crochet.
  • In the fifth row between the double crochets and the double crochet, add 1 chain stitch.
  • In the sixth row in each segment we increase by 1 double crochet and 1 chain stitch.
  • On the seventh row, make 1 more double crochet in each segment.
  • Increase the number of columns in each row until you get a diameter equal to the child's head.
  • When you have knitted the desired diameter, continue knitting without adding stitches.

Warm winter crochet hat for girls: diagram and description

Winter hat must be warm. To do this, you need to make a lining - from fleece, from merino wool, from brushed knitwear.

Important: Most often, fleece is used as a lining for a hat. This fabric is very warm and does not allow cold air to pass through. But it’s worth saying that fleece is still synthetic. If you want a natural lining, knit it from merino wool or sew it from several layers of knitwear.

A winter hat will be very warm if knitted from wool. Many adults, and children in particular, do not like woolen products because they are itchy. You can use merino wool, which is not itchy.

Pink hat with flower

For knitting you will need: hook 3.5; pink and white yarn.

The lining can be knitted or made from fleece. There is a knitted lining here.

Video: How to crochet a hat?

Good day everyone!
Today we’ll start knitting and be sure to knit a beautiful demi-season hat with “Cat” ears, which looks equally beautiful on older girls and little girls. The yarn I use is wool blend 390m/100g Lanagold fine from Alize, hook number 2 and 1.7.

Legend:

Dc - double crochet;

RLS - single crochet;

PS3N - a magnificent column with three crochets;

SP - connecting (blind) loop;

PSN - half double crochet;

VP - air loop;

Pr - increase (2 stitches in one loop);

Dec - decrease (one stitch out of two loops).

First of all, we knit 2 samples of the main knitting and determine the density in order to knit a hat of the exact size that we need.

The first sample is completely CCH in rotating rows.
The second - according to the scheme, alternating CCH and PS3N. We wash the samples we tied, dry them, and only then take measurements.
Important! Your samples with the same number of loops will differ in size. So I got 5 stitches in 2 cm stitch, and only 4 stitches in the same 2 cm stitches.
Let's remember the math to calculate the number of loops we need. My required head circumference is 54 cm. Knowing the value of this measurement and having sample measurement data, we can accurately calculate the required diameter of the circle to the size of which we need to make increases. We make the calculation using the second sample with fluffy loops.

54 cm: 2 cm x 4 loops = 108 loops. The required diameter of my bottom is about 108 loops.
Now I’m calculating the increases in the circle by row until we get closer to the number 108. So, we already know that in each row we increase by exactly 14 loops. I draw schematically.
1 row - 14 loops.

2nd row - 14+14= 28 loops.

3rd row - 28+14= 42 loops.

4th row - 42 +14 = 56 loops.

Row 5 - 56+ 14= 70 stitches

Row 6 - 70 +14 = 84 loops.

Row 7 - 84+ 14= 98 stitches.

Row 8 - 98 + 14 = 112 stitches.
That is, having knitted 8 rows with increases, we can switch already in the 9th to the main knitting with lush stitches. But such a sharp transition does not look very nice and therefore I will knit a circle not of 8 rows, but of 10. At the same time, I will knit the 8th row without increases, and will make them in the 9th row. And I will also knit the 10th row without any increases. Such a crown will fit your head more beautifully.
The theory has been sorted out, let's move on to the practical part. These two photos are to help those who do not understand the principle of knitting increases in the round.

We knit increases according to the laws of the circle to the required diameter.

1st row: We knit a joint into the amigurumi ring and make 3 VP (this will be our first column of the row), then we knit 13 dc into the ring. We finish the row of joint ventures knitted into the top of the first loop of the same row.
Row 2: We make 3 VP lifts (they will be the first column of the row in each row), and we also knit a DC here. And then in each dc of the first row we knit 2 dcs. (there should be a total of 28 stitches in the row). We are finishing a number of joint ventures.

3rd row: 3 VP, 2 SSN. Alternating dc in the loop of the previous row and 2 dc in the loop of the previous row (42 loops in a row).

4th row: 3 VP, Dc, 2 Dc, * Dc, Dc, 2 Dc * (repeat from * to * to the end of the row), sp. (56 stitches in a row).

5th row: 3 VP, Dc, Dc, 2 Dc, * Dc, Dc, Dc, "Dc*, sp. (70 loops).

Row 6 - Row 10 we knit according to our calculations and pattern.

I hope the principle of increments is clear even to beginners... in each subsequent row we make 14 increments. Continue knitting in this way until the diameter of the circle reaches the desired size.

In the next row, the 11th row, we switch to the main knitting.

Row 11 - Row 22: alternating DC and lush column with 3 double crochets (PS3N)

Please note that the lush columns are staggered. Finishing the 11th connecting loop, we do not knit 3 VPs at once, but make another connecting loop into the loop of the lush column of the previous row and knit 3 VPs from it. This way the design looks more beautiful, and the back seam is almost invisible.

Of course, by doing this in a similar way in each subsequent row, our seam gradually moves to the left.

Therefore, after knitting 3-4 rows, I proceed as follows. Having finished the row of joints, I pull it out to such a size that a ball of thread fits into it, and tighten the loop. Without breaking the thread, I step back to the right by 3-4 loops and insert the hook into the top loop of the lush column, making 3 VP of lifting a new row. A small thread is hidden in the body of the fabric when a row is knitted. This photo is a close-up of the moment described above.

After 3-4 rows I repeat this technique again. We knit until the size of our work reaches the required depth.
In my case = this is 22 rows. We finish knitting the cap, fasten and cut the thread, leaving an end of 10 cm (I always leave the ends longer, so that later it is convenient to thread it into a needle and hide them with its help).
Next, the knowledge of exact science will again be useful to us, which, as Mikhailo Lomonosov said, “... should then be taught, that it puts the mind in order.” Let's do the calculation. I'm talking about mathematics. The formula is standard. We divide our number of loops by 5. Two parts out of five are for the face area, and one part for each ear and back. 112 loops: 5 parts = 22.4 (i.e. 22 loops for each part and 4 more loops.) Let's distribute these 4 loops like this: 2 for the front part and one for each ear. We get it. We will use 46 loops for the face area, 23 loops for the ears and 22 loops for the back. I mark all these places with markers (or safety pins).
We knit both ears according to the pattern. I apologize for my “art” and ask you not to judge harshly. I hope that I can do much better with crochet.

We attach a thread at the seam and use a smaller crochet hook to tie the edge of the product with two rows of sc. Don’t forget to make the necessary decreases in the corners of the ears, and increases at the rounded ends of the ears, so that everything lies beautifully and does not “bulge.” If you want to make the hat bright, then it is better to knit the second row of the binding with colored yarn and behind the back half-loop of the column of the first row of binding.

Let’s start knitting the ears on the top of the head - those ears that make our hat “Cat” and which are so loved by kids and adults.
We knit according to the pattern, 2 parts of the front part and 2 parts of the back part of the ear.

At this stage of work and before connecting the front and back parts of the ear, I decorate the ear with decor. I sew the beads tightly and securely with monofilament.
