Sand
Spain is not the Emirates, so multilayer and multi-colored sand compositions are not made here. Tourists are offered small test tubes and bottles of various shapes filled with sand from local beaches. The souvenir is not the most attractive, but if some romantic memories were associated with the beaches, then why not.

Sometimes you can find original vases and dishes with a mosaic pattern from pieces of glass (trenkadis), they are quite expensive.
Football club merchandise and accessories
If there are football fans among your friends, they will be pleased to receive a T-shirt, boots, badge or any other accessory with the Barça logo. They can be bought in any area of ​​the city, but it is better to visit the club's museum and the official boutiques of the club. Prices will be from 3-4 €.

Attributes of a passionate dance -the gift is specific, not everyone will use them for their intended purpose. Castanets will cost around 9-11 €. Suits at a fairly high price do not differ good quality... And the birthplace of flamenco is not Catalonia, but Andalusia.

There are many types of cava and it comes in different qualities, depending on the amount of sugar in it, the time taken to produce it, and the exclusivity of the brand. The most famous brands are Freixenet and Codorniu, but there are many other wine cellars producing excellent wines.

If you are visiting Barceloneta (Little Barcelona), you can try this drink in the famous restaurants La Champañería Can Paixano or La Champañería secas. They serve pink and white cava along with traditional spicy tapas and sandwiches.

There you can also buy a bottle of cava at decent prices. For the real pleasure of Barcelona, ​​squeeze into the bar and shout "cava!" - pronounce the word clearly and you will be served first.

Amatller chocolate (Amalie)

When you go to Casa Batlló, on Passeig de Gràcia, do not forget to look into the Art Nouveau palace next door. The house of Amalier is the work of another prominent local architect, whose name was Josep Puig y Cadafalk.

You will admire architectural style, which brought neo-Gothic elements to the modern urban landscape, but among other things, it is worth looking into the small museum, where you will learn the history of this famous bourgeois family. The Amalje were renowned chocolate makers and also made extraordinary contributions to modernism.

Even today, you can get your hands on their chocolate products, which are still adorned with Art Nouveau illustrations by Alphonse Mucha.

Books and roses

If you visit the city on the twentieth of April (around 23), do not miss the feast of St. George, the patron saint of the city. According to local tradition, a man gave a rose to a girl (or girls) he loved, and a woman gave him a book. Today, books and roses are given, regardless of gender, to any family member, friend, or even a casual acquaintance. The holiday began to be celebrated around the world after UNESCO declared April 23 as World Book and Copyright Day.
