Knitting patterns for a scarf with flounces. We knit and crochet openwork scarves and scarves from green yarn. Description of knitting two-color double-sided patent pattern

A scarf can be considered a truly unique accessory. It is used not only to keep warm winter time. Casually draped over the shoulders or tied in a beautiful knot, it will complement any look. An openwork crochet scarf looks beautiful, elegant and romantic. We offer several descriptions for creating a unique accessory.

History of technology

The crochet technique originated in the 17th century. Its appearance was given a great impetus by scientific progress. As soon as people learned to mechanize the processing of natural fibers, their price dropped significantly. Experienced knitters know that complex openwork crochet patterns require much more yarn than when knitting. With the advent of cheap threads, needlework began to gain momentum.

Lace, invented by the Irish, captured the hearts of Europeans. They were desirable and highly valued. For peasants, lace knitting became a craft that brought in a good income. Such orders were especially relevant during times of famine.

The skill began to become more complex, and patterns appeared. Most of them are still in use today. Crocheting is so simple that even children can learn it. The continuity of needlework has allowed it to become firmly entrenched in our hearts.

Clothing designers couldn’t ignore knitted items either. Their collections are replenished with new knitted items every season. Now, for example, the knitted snood, which is a type of scarf, is at the peak of its fame.

Scarf for the winter

Who would have thought that openwork knitting goes well with thick yarn. We invite you to contact Warm scarf, which can be worn under outerwear, and out.

The model is made of cashmere yarn sectional dyeing. For the accessory you will need about 200 grams of Casmira yarn (338 m / 100 g) and a 3.5 mm hook.

There is a very important nuance in manufacturing - the scarf is knitted horizontally. You can find the diagram and description below in the text.

First, a chain of air loops is assembled, the length of which will correspond to the length of the scarf. It is tied on one side with a pattern according to the pattern until the very end. Then the thread needs to be secured and cut. Attach the working thread in the place indicated in the diagram and continue tying the starting chain on the other side.

This model is perfect for beginner craftswomen. All that remains is to decorate the ends of the scarf with tassels and you don’t have to be afraid of cold weather.

Product per hour

What yarn manufacturers haven’t come up with for needlewomen. A combination of different fibers, bouclé, adding sparkles. But it never goes out of fashion relatively the new kind yarn - tape. It is so easy to use that you can update your wardrobe with a fresh accessory in just an hour! Big advantage This type of yarn has a wide palette of colors; you can choose either a single-color version or sectional dyeing. We invite you to make a stylish scarf for a girl. Feel free to choose rich colors, let autumn or spring be full of bright colors.

To create a scarf you will need:

  • 1 skein of ribbon yarn;
  • Hook No. 4.

The first step is to secure and hide the edge of the tape. Carefully unwind part of the ball and straighten it. Pass the hook through the edge as shown in the photo.

Grab the top of the ribbon and pull it through all the loops.

Further knitting should be done with connecting stitches. Grab the loop thread and pull it through the loop on the hook. To make the ruffles larger, you need to insert the hook through 1-2 loops of the upper edge of the ribbon.

Continue making stitches until you have knitted the desired length of scarf.

To complete the second row, unfold the product and hook the ribbon, passing it through the loops of the first row.

At the end of the second row you will see this ugly stripe.

Don’t worry, after you complete a few more rows, the flounces will cover it tightly.

The scarf made from ribbon yarn is ready! To complement bright image kids, you can create a simple skirt with ruffles, carefully tying the ribbon into a simple fabric.

Solomon loops

The once popular scarf-collar, called a snood, is again at the peak of fashion. And it’s not surprising, because this accessory can be either warm and voluminous, or light and airy. We invite you to crochet a fashionable snood.

You can make it from mohair or angora, or from acrylic threads. It is better not to take yarn that is too thin and fragile, because you can easily tear it when knitting elongated loops.

The snood itself is very simple to do. The fabric increases quickly, and the yarn consumption even for long scarf will not exceed 100 grams. To do the job, choose a hook that matches the thickness of the thread. Decide in advance on the length and width of the model.

We are offering to you detailed master class on knitting fabric with Solomon loops. Knitting is done according to the pattern taken from the Osinka portal.

The knitting process can be left without comment; it is depicted in detail step by step in the photo.

Patterns for knitting a scarf

Patterns for knitting scarves with your own hands. With all the variety of ready-made knitted items offered, there are still many fans of do-it-yourself knitting, for example. One of the simplest knitted items that even beginners can do is a scarf.

It would seem easier to buy a ready-made scarf in a store. However, you may not always be satisfied with the combination of price and quality of the finished product. knitted product. But you can choose good and inexpensive yarn for knitting in the store. As a result, you will have a scarf that will not roll up even after repeated washings. Moreover, it is not always possible to match a ready-made scarf to the color of your clothes. And if you know how to knit, in a few evenings you will knit yourself a scarf of your favorite color, length, width and texture.

Depending on the purpose of the scarf, you can choose a knitting pattern. Scarves are often knitted with an elastic band. This pattern allows the product to be elastic and fit well around the neck. The narrower the scarf, the easier it is to wrap it around your neck and fasten your clothes. It is faster and easier to knit a scarf on thick knitting needles (for example, knitting needles No. 5-8). On average, a regular scarf will require 200 grams of yarn (2 skeins).

Knitting a scarf with a 2x2 elastic band

A scarf knitted with a 2x2 elastic band (knit 2, purl 2) looks good. The scarf knits quickly, the fabric is more elastic.

Knitting a scarf with an elastic band 1x1

The scarf can also be knitted with a 1x1 elastic band (1 knit, 1 purl). The fabric will be denser, and knitting will take longer).

Scarf knitted with 1x1 elastic. For knitting, we used lingonberry-colored merino yarn (50% merino wool, 50% acrylic), 5mm knitting needles. There were 40 stitches cast on the knitting needles. The width of the scarf is 19 cm. Yarn consumption is about 150 g.

Thick thread scarf

A scarf also knitted with a 1×1 elastic band, but only with thick threads. For knitting, milky yarn was used (25% wool, 75% acrylic), 8mm knitting needles. There were 30 stitches cast on the knitting needles. The width of the scarf is 21 cm. Yarn consumption is about 200 g.

The beginning and end of the scarf are knitted with a 1x1 elastic band in a checkerboard pattern. That is, the first six rows are knitted in the order: 1 knit stitch, 1 purl loop, etc. Next 6 rows: 1 purl stitch, 1 knit stitch, etc. After 6 rows we change the order again.

Shawl pattern for knitting a scarf

You can do it easily and simply by knitting a scarf in garter stitch. That is, we knit all the rows on both sides with facial loops. Garter stitch looks good on soft and fluffy threads.

The photo below shows a scarf knitted in a garter pattern, alternating with rows knitted in stockinette stitch. The end of the scarf is decorated with a pattern of knit and purl loops. The pattern diagram is given above. The main fabric of the scarf is knitted by alternating patterns as follows:

42 rows - scarf pattern (even and odd rows - front loops);

2 rows - shawl pattern (odd row - knit stitches, even row - also knit stitches);

4 rows - front stitch (odd rows - front loops, even rows - according to the pattern - purl loops);

We repeat the alternation from the very beginning.

It turns out that there is something to invent, and there are about as many options for knitting scarves as there are knitters. Both beginners and experienced ones, whose products are real works of art! It would take a long time to list models and techniques, but let’s instead try to knit a scarf, which in terms of complexity is accessible to novice craftswomen, and finished form looks like the work of a real pro. This is Vivienne's scarf!

Probably everyone knows what it looks like, many have it in their wardrobe, others dream about it. It's time to make your dreams come true! So, what’s so special about Vivienne’s scarf and why every woman should have one?

This is a flounce scarf, which is remarkable because:

  • elegance and decorativeness are combined with functionality - if we decide to knit a scarf to protect the neck from the cold, the flounce will prevent either wind or frost from reaching the skin;
  • it can be just a chic accessory, it depends on what material you choose;
  • it is very easy and pleasant to wear. You don’t have to think about how to drape it or how to secure it - you just throw it around your neck, you can wrap it around - and an elegant addition to any outfit is ready.

So let's get started creative process. What do we need?

  • hook No. 3;
  • yarn, 250-300 grams. It is better to take half-woolen yarn so as not to prick your neck, and not very fleecy. This scarf doesn't have to be fluffy. Color - naturally, to taste. The scarf can be monochromatic, can combine two or more contrasting colors or one tone, but different shades- in any case it will turn out great. It's better not to take too much fine yarn so that it holds its shape, but not too thick.
Now let's start knitting. First of all, we knit the base - a narrow strip on which the flounces will later be knitted. We do this very simply, using a mesh, the way you learned to knit double crochets or single crochets:
  • we knit a chain of 15 chain loops (VP) plus 3 edge loops;
  • turn the work and: two VPs of the second row, insert the hook into the thirteenth loop of the chain, knit a double crochet on it. That is, we skip 2 loops in the chain, from which a mesh cell is obtained. And so on until the end of the row, then we turn again and knit this mesh of the length you need, say, 1.5-2 meters. A child can handle this, the only thing is that you need to make sure that the number of cells in the grid does not decrease or increase. You can knit it not with a mesh, but solid fabric double crochets, but this is unnecessary - the heat will not be added much, but much more yarn will be used. But no one will see this basis anyway.
  • Now we begin the most important part of the work - knitting a shuttlecock. There is nothing complicated about this either, there is only one condition - watch your hands! That is, knit with the same density so that the fabric is even. Well, be careful not to miss any loops.
We knit the flounces along the long side of the mesh. First, we knit a border along the edge of the mesh using single crochets. There are three loops in each grid cell. We do this until the end, turn it, and finally - a shuttlecock! That is, we need to double the number of loops. This means that from each loop of the previous row (border) we knit two loops with a crochet. We knit the entire length, turn and do the same a second time - from each loop of the previous row - two. Then the third row. Here we increase the number of loops only by one and a half times, that is, we knit three out of two loops. You won't believe it, but that's all! The scarf is ready.

If you want to make it even more magnificent, tie the second flounce in the same way from the other edge of the mesh; if it is a contrasting color, it will turn out just great. But, as you can see, it will be lovely even with one flounce. And finally, why not knit another scarf?

Ruffle/ruffle scarves are a fun way to translate your knitting hobby into new level. Scarves like these look fantastic, are suitable for three cold seasons a year, can be of any size and you can choose absolutely any yarn for them. Finally, this is a very fashionable accessory right now. If you're already quite proficient in basic stitches, but are looking for an opportunity to knit something more sophisticated than a simple rectangle, a ruffled scarf - quick way learn new techniques without straying too far from your comfort zone.

Below we will describe 2 scarves in turn: one warmer from thick yarn and the second - airier from a new yarn on the market. Both are very easy to make - in fact, for beginner knitters.

Method 1. Warm scarf.

Prepare:
— 190-200 m of bulk yarn,
- circular knitting needles 9 mm long 76-80 cm,
- 72 stitch markers (optional),
- a needle for yarn.

So, we work on thick yarn and very large knitting needles. Therefore, even taking into account that there will be many loops in a row, your scarf will “grow” even faster than it seems.

1. Cast on 184 stitches.

2. Knit 4 stitches, place the first marker. Knit the next loop both front and back as follows: knit the loop in the usual way, but do not remove it from the knitting needle. Then insert the needle in your right hand into the back of the stitch behind the needle in your left hand and knit through again. Finally, pull the loop off the left needle. You have increased the number of loops. Place the second marker.

In this way, knit 4 loops, place a marker, knit one loop back and forth, attach the marker. Repeat until the end of the loop. Knit just 1 row in this manner.

2. Knit one more row. *Knit a regular knit to the marker, transfer the marker from the left to the right knitting needle, knit twice - front and back - each (!) loop to the next marker, transfer the marker from left to right, and repeat from * to the end of the loops. At this step you will also make only 1 new row.

3. Repeat step 2 in the same way 4 more times. Close all loops. Using a yarn needle, make the outer border of the scarf wavy.

Method 2. Air scarf.

Starbella is a unique “yarn” that is a ribbon of real mesh. It appeared on the market not so long ago and we already have many Turkish and Chinese analogues available for free sale, such as Alize DANTELA or YarnArt FLAMENCO. It is supplied in the form of standard skeins of wide but flat thread. You can knit from it with thread, as usual, or you can pull the thread into a ribbon and knit its lower loops. We will use the second technique.

So, we need multi-color yarn of this type of your choice: 1-2 skeins, depending on the length of the future scarf. Next - 4.5 mm knitting needles and, if desired, again a yarn needle, a sewing needle and thread, and a ruler.

The dimensions of the finished scarf from one skein are 10 cm wide and 110 cm long. Of two skeins - 10 cm wide and 220 cm long.

1. Cast on 8 loops as follows: pull the thread from the skein, open it; Cast on all the bottom loops in a row with the left knitting needle (on the edge that is thinner and not decorated with a decorative frill). The free end of the ribbon that goes further (the loops of which you did not put on the knitting needle) seems to be “folded” towards the bottom of the left knitting needle. And now work the right needle in reverse side, tying two “ribbons” together.

2. Knit each row in this manner until you have about 90 cm of yarn left. Cast off all remaining stitches.

3. Trim the rest and seal the edge. And since this yarn is actually mesh, it might be better to use regular thread of your choice and a sewing needle.
