The web of the Internet is drawing more and more human souls into its networks. What's starting to happen? We feel bad without true feelings, such as joy, tenderness, love. He was especially interested in the story of a black monk who, passing through the Syrian or Arabian desert, found himself in unique optical conditions, similar to mirrors set against each other. Due to this, a few miles from where he was walking, the fishermen saw another black monk walking slowly across the sea. From this mirage, another mirage turned out, from this - a third, so the image of a black monk began to endlessly be transmitted from one layer of the atmosphere to another. He was seen now in Africa, then in India, then in Spain, then in the Far North ... And then, finally, he went beyond the earth's atmosphere and now wanders throughout the Universe, still not getting into the conditions under which he could fade. The essence of the legend is that exactly one thousand years after the monk walked through the desert, the mirage will again fall into the earthly atmosphere and appear to people. And as if this thousand years are running out.

Already subconsciously disposed to meet with a mysterious black monk, Andrei Vasilyevich practically on the same evening, when he retold this legend to his bride Tanya, goes for a walk on the river and sees a monk there in the form of a column of dust sweeping past. Since that time, he meets him every day and has long philosophical conversations, trying to understand the essence of this phenomenon.

“… - But you are a mirage,” said Kovrin. - Why are you here and sitting in one place? This does not fit with the legend.
