Crochet winter beret pattern. Winter crochet pattern and description

A little history

Knitting is one of the oldest types of needlework. No one can determine the exact date of origin of crochet, but presumably this type applied arts for more than three thousand years. It's never too late to start learning crochet. And if you creative person and you are persevering, you will definitely succeed!

The ancient Greeks and Egyptians knew how to crochet. This is evidenced by various monuments of Egyptian culture, which depict people in clothes, presumably knitted. In addition, during excavations of one of the tombs of the pharaohs, a knitted baby sock with separately knitted thumb. But still, the most skilled knitters were the Arabs. Interesting fact is that only men were engaged in this craft, and their wives helped them in this. The crochet hook did not look like a modern one and was shaped like a straight stick. Later, in the fifth century, knitting began to flourish in the East, and only in the ninth century did it appear in Europe. At the same time they begin to appear knitted stockings, which were worn by both kings and their retinue.

Crochet beret

The beret has been a fashionable headdress for a long time. Crocheting a beret is actually not as difficult as it seems at first glance. Even a beginner can tie it. The yarn for creating this headdress can be very diverse - cotton, silk, viscose for the warm season, wool mixture or wool for the cold season. And only knitting openwork berets requires skill and great effort.

Technology

So, let's start knitting a beret for women. The hook and threads must match each other. Therefore, before choosing threads, you need to decide on the hook number. If the threads are a little thin, you can take them in two folds. We start knitting a beret from the bottom.

Abbreviations

  • VP - air loop.
  • sc - single crochet.
  • dc - double crochet.
  • pp - lifting loop.
  • ss - connecting column.

The bottom of the beret

First you need to knit the first loop. After this, make 5 ch, close the first loop with the last one and cast on 3 stitches. You need to knit 11 stitches into the resulting ring. This will be the first row. At the end, tie the first loop to the last using a connecting stitch and make 3 ch.

Second row

Knit 2 dc in each loop of the previous row. Ss.

Third row

3 pp. Knit 2 dc in the next loop, and 1 dc in the next one. That is, in this row you need to knit 2 dc in every second loop. Ss at the end of the row.

Fourth row

3 pp. In this row you need to knit 2 dc in every third loop. Ss at the end of the row. After that, in the fifth row, knit 2 dc in every 4th loop, in the 6th row - in every 5th loop, in the 7th row - in every 6th loop, and so on. You need to knit this way until the diameter of the circle is equal to half the circumference of your head. For example, if the head circumference is 54 cm, then 54/2 equals 27 cm. That is, the diameter of your circle should be 27 cm. If you want the beret to be more magnificent, the circle needs to be knitted a few centimeters more. After this, you need to knit 6 rows with regular dc without additions (that is, one dc in each loop).

Decrease

Crocheting a beret is quite simple if you follow certain rules.

1st row of decreases

We continue crocheting the beret sc. So, ch 1. We knit 2 sc, and then we knit two loops into one. And again, 2 loops, one sc each, and knit the next two loops into one. That is, we will decrease every third loop.

2nd row of decreases

1 ch. We knit the next 2 loops in one, we knit the next one with a sc. And so on until the end of the row.

3rd row of decreases

1 ch. We knit 7 sc. We knit the next two loops into one. And so on until the end of the row.

Okolyshek

1 ch. We knit several rows with regular sc (2 - 3 cm).

The beret is finished. Wear it with pleasure!

The beret is a universal headdress that is little subject to the whims of fashion. It can make the whole image sound new, which is why fashion designers willingly use this detail in their collections. However, it is not at all necessary to buy a couture headdress: even those who are just learning the basics of needlework can knit an original piece.

And crocheted berets, the patterns of which are clear even to a beginner, will become a great addition wardrobe

Features of beret knitting technology

The birthplace of berets is France. Moreover, initially it was a headdress of male townspeople, and then a mandatory part military uniform. Over time, women picked up the tradition of wearing berets, appreciating their convenience: in the cold season they warm their heads, and in the summer heat they protect them from the sun's rays. In addition, such headdresses look great on little girls, making them look like dolls. Thus, there are many reasons to master the technology of knitting this wardrobe item.

If you want to know all the features of knitting berets, then first you should take into account some of the nuances of choosing yarn:

  • for berets, as a rule, synthetic threads are used: they hold their shape well and do not stretch;
  • on average, a beret takes about 200 g of yarn;
  • depending on the pattern of the model, the thickness of the yarn is selected: than more voluminous pattern, the thicker the threads should be;
  • openwork patterns on berets look better if the yarn is not too thin;
  • band (the part that holds the headdress on the head) from thin threads It’s better to make it double;
  • For a baby beret, you can use cotton threads.

Before you begin to scrutinize how to crochet a beret, you need to choose not only the model, but also the hook itself. Its thickness depends on the thickness of the yarn, but hook No. 4 is considered optimal - it is convenient to knit with both thin threads and denser ones.

Things knitted with openwork are always at the height of fashion, and berets are no exception in this sense. Such airy, light patterns look especially good on hats. In addition, they are very functional: in autumn and spring bad weather warm hat It’s already hot, but the beret is quite appropriate. The most universal model is the “track” pattern. If such a model is knitted from thin threads, then the product will turn out to be “in a hole”, but on denser threads it looks quite dense and convex. In order to knit such a beret, we need:

  • 50 g wool threads;
  • hook number 4.

  1. We start working with 16 double crochets closed in a circle.
  2. We knit the second row with connecting loops.
  3. Add 4 air loops evenly. We knit 2 more rows. We close each row with a connecting column.
  4. We start the next row with two connecting stitches, then yarn over the second of these stitches and add 2 stitches. We also knit all the loops of the row. Next we follow the diagram.
  5. In the next rows, we knit not 2, but 3 loops with a connecting post, so that the connection points are not visible in the figure.
  6. After knitting 14 rows, we begin to lower the loops.
  7. When finishing knitting, we make 3 single crochets - this is our band.
  8. We close the last loop and hide its end on the wrong side of the product. The beret is ready.

In the summer heat openwork beret - a real find for the little lady. It helps protect the pretty head from harmful ultraviolet radiation and adds a “fabulous” look to the look. To create an original headdress for a girl we will need:

  • 45 g of yarn (it is better to take cotton with the addition of synthetics);
  • hook No. 3.5 or No. 4.

The work is carried out in the following stages.

  1. We make a chain of 6 air loops. We close them in a ring.
  2. Knitting 3 lifting loops, then 19 double crochets.
  3. Again we make a lift of 3 air loops. Then 3 chain stitches, 2 double crochets. We alternate the 3+2 scheme.
  4. We knit a yarn over into each previous stitch. And we complete the row with a connecting column.
  5. Next we knit according to the pattern up to row 30.
  6. Let's start decreasing. 3 rows, decreasing every 5 stitches, but keeping yarn overs in the stitches.
  7. The next row is the same decreases, we do not save the yarn overs.
  8. The last row of the pattern is single crochet and dec.
  9. We finish with 3 rows of band. In our case, this is 5 single crochets. The beret is ready.

Other crochet beret models

Openwork drawings are good because they practically do not limit your imagination. The only thing you should not forget about is scrupulous stitch counting. Don't rely on the extra stitch being hidden in the next row. This will make the drawing “float”. Therefore, there is a universal beret model for those who do not like to work with numbers, which negates the likelihood of extra loops appearing. The pattern consists of alternating stitches with and without double crochets (1X1). We need to prepare:

  • 80 g yarn;
  • hook No. 3.5.
  1. We close 16 loops into a ring, knit them with single crochets.
  2. We start the next row with 3 lifting loops. Subsequent rows will also begin with lifting loops.
  3. We alternate double crochet and single crochet. We get a mesh.
  4. On the 25th row we begin to decrease the loops. 5 in every other row for 10 rows.
  5. We knit 3 cm of the band with single crochets. The beret is ready.

This model can be decorated with embroidery or a brooch, which will add elegance and elegance to the headdress.

  1. Classic style. We recommend combining a blue beret made of any wool or felt with a raincoat middle length And high boots or loafers. The raincoat should be a classic beige color. Also goes well with a classic beret long coat made of wool or cashmere.
  2. Casual style complements well the large one, voluminous beret. Pair it with a leather jacket, denim trousers, sweater or leggings. Plus large boots or boots with a thick platform.
  3. Retro style is unthinkable without a beret - a pill. Combine this beret with a new look dress, or a flared knee-length skirt. Ballet flats, low-heeled ankle boots or pumps will go well with this look.

How knitted berets match your face type

If you have a round face, designers advise moving your headdress to the back of your head and leaving your curls loose, thus framing your face and making it visually more elongated. Unless of course you are happy with your rounded face shape.

For those who have an angular or square face, stylists recommend wearing the beret shifted to the side. It is better to partially hide the bangs or pin them with bobby pins.

The beret fits almost any face type, the main thing is to find your shape.

Knitted beret for women in the style of Irish lace, master class!

Hello, dear women! Ah, summer, summer……….. it’s time to show off your work on your body! New job mine is a summer beret in style Irish lace. Idea by Zoya Leporskaya from Fashion Magazine No. 541. Author of the work: Nadezhda Lavrova.

Knitted a beret for women from leftover yarn. Flowers, leaves and a rim are made of half-wool, the mesh is knitted from thin cotton threads. Hook, 1mm, 2mm and 1.75mm. The headband (elastic band) is knitted with concave and convex stitches with 1 crochet. The last row is made with a smaller crochet hook up to the volume (56 cm) of the head.

The beret pattern for women has 2 circles: outer and inner. The diameter of the outer circle (bottom) is as you wish (standard 28-30 cm), and calculate the inner one using the formula: head circumference minus 2 cm for a tight fit, divided by 3.14. If you have standard size head circumference 56 cm, in this case (56 cm - 2 = 54 cm): 3.14 = 16-18 cm. You can increase or decrease your size according to your wishes. I tried to show the whole process in photographs. The elements are easy to knit, I have attached a diagram. I wish you all successful work, health and patience.

Tie the elements of a beret for women: flowers and leaves according to patterns 1 and 1a:

Arrange the finished elements on the pattern, creating a composition. Secure them with pins, wrong side up.

Fill the empty spaces with an irregular mesh ( or in ).

Once the pieces are assembled, remove the pins and detach the fabric from the pattern. Along the edge of the side, tie a headband - an elastic band made of convex/concave double crochets.

Beret for women “Blue Sea”, crocheted

Hello, my name is Olga. This is my first time submitting my work to the competition. I am 25 years old, raising a son. I love crocheting and crocheting hats. I called this work “Blue Sea” because the colors are so bright and saturated.

Knitting a hat for women is very easy.
I knitted with BABY threads from VITA (composition: 100% acrylic, 400 m/100 g), one skein of blue and blue.
Hook No. 2.5. Almost the entire skein of blue was not used for the whole beret, but only half a skein of blue. The alternation of stripes is as follows: a row of blue and 2 rows of blue, etc.

Description of work: I make 3 air loops and close them in a circle, then I tie 12 dc into the ring (3 vp rise)
Row 2: 24 dc.
3rd row: we make an increase to each column in relief, thus:

I knitted for size 51 cm. Thus, I knitted the bottom according to the pattern up to a diameter of 25.5 cm. Then I knitted 3 rows without increases.

Then there are decreases in loops: in the same way as additions. We decrease until the beret measures 28 cm when folded in half. Then we knit a sc for 5 cm.

Note: when knitting begins, RLS, the size of the hat decreases; out of 28 cm, I got 25. I did the binding in a crawfish step. I also knitted a flower brooch. It is attached to the back with a pin and can be removed if necessary.

Description of the flower: cast on 3 vp, connect into a ring: then 15 sc into the ring. 3 sc per petal. The petal is knitted like this: 5 chain stitches, then in the next loop 2 stitches with 5 crochets, in the next loop 5 chain stitches, a connecting stitch. And then follow the same principle for the remaining petals.

Also, in the back of the ring where the bottom began, I tied 2 flowers on a chain made of VP. It’s knitted like this: cast on a chain of VP 12 cm, 3 VP instep and connect it into a ring to the last loop of the chain, and knit the petals in the same way as for brooches, only 3 VP instep and down, and the petals in double crochets.

Good afternoon My name is Guzel Fattakhova, I have been crocheting for myself and to order for a little over 2 years. Once I already sent my work - a sexy tunic with a spider web. This time I decided to show my summer openwork berets for women. I knitted many of them from the head, so there are no patterns for them. There is a diagram for only one (attached).

A beret for women, tied with lush columns - Irina's work.

ALIZE maxi threads (25% wool, 75% acrylic) - 100g/100m, 1.5 balls were used, hook number 2.

  • 1st row - in a ring (2 times around the finger) 12 lush stitches, you can dial 3 chain stitches for lifting, but it’s better to just pull out a long loop.
  • 2nd row - 24 lush columns (the columns will look like a tick).
  • 3rd row - in the tick of the previous row there are two lush stitches (you will also get a tick), and in the space between the ticks, a double crochet behind the back wall. In general, the row looks like this: tick (2 lush stitches in the middle of the previous one, 1 treble stitch behind the back wall, 2 lush stitches).
  • 4th row - tick, on the previous treble treble, tie 2 treble treble behind the back wall - this forms a beret wedge. tick...
  • 5th row - tick, on the previous two treble s/n we knit 3 treble s/n (to get straighter wedges, we make additions on the last treble s/n, i.e. knit all subsequent rows on the last treble s/n /n of the previous row - two. To make it in a spiral, we make an increase at the beginning of the wedge (checkmark, on the dc/n of the previous row there are two dc/n). 6th row - tick, 4 dc/n.

We make increases to the desired diameter, knit a row without increases - you can do more if desired, and then we start making decreases - there are two wedge decreases in a row at once, so that it is even (but you can do one at a time - at the beginning or at the end).
The number of wedges can be chosen arbitrarily - 6,8,9,12. But the more wedges, the rounder it takes.

When the diameter of the circle reaches 24 cm, finish the increases and, having knitted 2 cm straight, begin the decreases, distributing them evenly along the same lines where the decreases were made. When the diameter of the inner circle is 18 cm, knit another 2 cm straight. Next, proceed to decorating the beret with an applied applique. To do this, knit motifs of large flowers according to patterns 79a, 79c, 79d, 79e, then flowers and motifs of medium size according to patterns 796, 79e, 79g, 79i, as well as small flowers and leaves according to patterns 79z, 79k.

Create a composition by placing larger motifs along the side and the area of the straight knit, and smaller ones along the wide part of the bottom and in the spaces between large motifs. Sew the motifs to the canvas with wool thread. The next step is to knit the inside of the beret with cotton thread. Carry out the work in the same way, but knit the bottom to a circle diameter of about 22 cm, then straight to a height of 3 cm. Then begin the decreases, distributing them evenly along the same lines where you made the decreases. When the diameter of the inner circle is 18 cm, finish the work. Place the cotton piece inside the wool piece and make a sc stitch, connecting two layers of beret with cotton yarn, then the 2nd row of sc with wool thread to the circumference of the loops of the previous row.

The beret is crocheted using the Irish lace technique. An excellent hat for the summer: bright, playful and elegant.
To crochet a women's beret you will need: CoCo yarn (100% cotton, 240 m/50 g) - remnants of yellow, blue, dark blue, purple, turquoise, red, green, melange and black, hook No. 2.

It is necessary to knit 25 hexagonal and 6 pentagonal blanks. It is necessary to knit the parts into one fabric while completing the last row. When all the motifs are connected together, it is necessary to tie them around the edge, as indicated in the diagram, securing the st s/n and st. b/n in arches from v.p. Next we knit seven rows of st. b/n.

In the last row we perform a picot in every 4th loop.

Hexagonal motif

  • First r. In an amigurumi ring of 6 loops we knit arches from 2 vp, securing them with two sts. s/n with a common top and base.
  • Second r. In each top of two st. s/n we knit (1 tbsp. b/n + 5 ch. + 1 tbsp. b/n), in arches from 2 v.p. knit 2 tbsp. b/n.

We knit in accordance with the pattern until the diameter of the circle is 24 cm, increases are made due to the rows from st. s/n, namely due to those Art. s/n, which are knitted between st. s/n and “lush” column. Next, knit 2 cm without increasing, then begin to decrease the loops until the diameter of the beret reaches 18 cm. When making decreases, alternately knit a “lush” stitch in each loop and through the loop of the previous row, knit a st in between them. s/n. After this, knit 2 cm straight for the band.

Very often women neglect their hats winter time years, because they ruin their hair and don’t look very aesthetically pleasing, but for some reason they forget about such a wonderful headdress as a beret. We decided to remind you about it, which is why in this article we will suggest crocheting a beret for the winter with diagrams and descriptions for quick and high-quality work.

Simple and warm

You will need:

  • Hook No. 7;
  • Cotton yarn, approximately 50 grams.

First, knit a chain consisting of four air loops and close it into a circle with a connecting column. Then, instead of one double crochet, you need to knit three chain stitches in each row.

First level: we knit eight double crochets and enclose them in a circle with a connecting column. Second level: knit two double crochets in each double crochet of the row in front, that is, we make sixteen double crochets and close the row with a connecting column in the first double crochet. Third level: one double crochet in the double crochet of the previous row, two double crochets in the next stitch. Using this principle, knit to the end of the row, as a result you get a row of 24 double crochets. We close the row with a connecting column into the first double crochet.

Fourth level: we knit one double crochet into a double crochet from the previous row, and two double crochets into the next stitch. We work on the same principle, as a result you have a row of 36 double crochets. We finish the row with a connecting column in the first double crochet. Fifth level: work in double crochets, in every fourth double crochet of the previous row we knit two double crochets. The result should be a row of 45 double crochets. Close the row with a connecting column into the first double crochet.

Next level (sixth): in every fifth double crochet of the previous row we knit two double crochets. If you have a row of 54 double crochets, then you are doing everything right. We close the row with a connecting column into the first double crochet. Now we begin the seventh level: in every sixth double crochet of the previous row we knit two double crochets. As a result, we have a row of 63 double crochets. We close the row connecting to the first double crochet column.

Eighth level: in every seventh double crochet of the row in front we sew two double crochets. You end up with a row consisting of seventy-two double crochets. We close the row with a connecting column into the first double crochet. The size of the product at this stage of work should be 25 centimeters in diameter. We start the ninth level: we knit one double crochet into each double crochet of the previous row. When you reach the tenth row, start making decreases.

Tenth level: continue with double crochets in each double crochet of the previous row, skipping every sixth double crochet. You end up with a row of sixty double crochets. The row ends with a connecting column into the first double crochet. Eleventh level: work with a double crochet in each double crochet of the row in front, skip every fifth double crochet. A row comes out consisting of forty-eight double crochets. We complete the row with a connecting loop in the first double crochet.

Now from the twelfth to fourteenth levels, work with double crochets in each double crochet of the row in front, while completing each row with a connecting double crochet into the first double crochet. Now let's cut it off working thread and fasten it on the wrong side.

Our product is ready. Wash it in warm water and dry it by stretching it on a plate.

Another variant

Let's try to knit a very interesting beret, it is made using the combined knitting technique.

This technique is done like this: the band is knitted with knitting needles, and the upper part is crocheted, due to this the product looks very unusual. First, familiarize yourself with the diagram; you can refer to it as you work.

You will need:

  1. Cotton yarn, approximately 130 grams;
  2. Hook No. 2;
  3. Knitting needles No. 2.

Stages of work:

  • Cast on eighteen stitches and start knitting double elastic band, according to this pattern: two knit stitches, two purl stitches. Using this principle, we knit a strip about 52 centimeters long. Then we close the loops and close them into a ring.
  • Now the hook comes into use, we finish the work with knitting needles. We knit 12 repeats of the pattern indicated in the diagram along the edge of the elastic band. Do not forget to make decreases in the places where they are indicated on the diagram.
  • We need to make a loop at the very top of our product. To do this, cast on a chain of 17 chain stitches, close them in a ring and knit with single crochets.

Knitted beret is a popular headdress that combines simplicity and sophistication. fashion trends. Depending on the style of knitting and the yarn used, berets are: winter - warm and voluminous, openwork summer - with ruffles or pompoms, festive - decorated with a beautiful brooch or intricate accessory.

It’s not difficult to knit a beret, the main thing is to choose the yarn and hook according to the recommendation and you can start working.

How to crochet a fashionable beret

A women's beret, knitted according to the proposed pattern, will be a good addition to a knitted dress, trouser suit and high-heeled shoes. You will need: 100 gr. (780 m) cotton yarn with acrylic (50/50), hook No. 2.5. We work in two threads, the beginning of knitting is the crown. Size – 56.

  • Row 1 – cast on 11 stitches. b/n, loop it.
  • 2nd row – 3rd century. p. lifting, 2 tbsp. s/n in each loop of the previous row, SS.

  • From the 14th row there is a decrease - * 9 tbsp, 2 tbsp. s/n together*, repeat the pattern from* to* four rows.
  • Row 19 – relief elastic band – *1 tbsp. s/n, located in front of work, 1 tbsp. s/n – at work*.

As you can see, the beret is knitted quickly and easily, but it looks very stylish and elegant.

  • In the 2nd row, knit 2 tbsp. b/n in each upper st. b/n. Work like this, adding six stitches at equal intervals in all rows. Stop when the bottom of the cap measures 26 cm.
  • Knit 2 cm and decrease stitches as needed until the inner circle reaches 15 cm.
  • In the next row, insert the hook from the outside into the hole near the post and bring the loop to the front side behind it. Grab the main thread, pull it out, and knit the two loops that are on the hook.
  • Perform five rows with single crochets, then tie the workpiece in a crab step with woolen thread in two folds.

This fluffy beret is worn with a long cardigan, an elegant coat or a trench coat.
