A backpack is a convenient and practical accessory. It can be made of any materials. Fashion trend became a backpack, crocheted. How to choose the right yarn for it:

  • Acrylic has a wide range of colors and is easy to knit.
  • Cotton is ideal for making a summer accessory; it is practical in the heat.
  • allows you to create an interesting texture of the backpack and is washable.

  • yarn;
  • suitable hook.

Knitting process:

  • We start by creating the bottom. We cast on 3 air loops, close them in a ring and knit 6 single crochets in a circle. Next, in each row we distribute 6 increases evenly. We tie the bottom to 25 cm in diameter.
  • We begin to make the walls of the backpack. We knit in the round without increments with single crochets at least 30 cm in height.
  • Next, we make holes for the ties: *5 single crochets, 5 chain stitches* - repeated until the end of the row.
  • The last row is tied with a “crawfish step”.
  • A string is a chain of air loops of the required length.

Even a novice master can crochet a knitted backpack. The accessory can be decorated with decorative elements or buttons.

  • A valve is created in the middle of one side. To do this, attach a thread and knit 20 rows in rotating rows.
  • The straps are made separately. To do this, cast on 8 single crochets and knit in turning rows 30 cm long. Sew to the backpack.

The children's backpack is decorated with flowers. You can also embroider the face of any animal.

Knitted backpack

When choosing yarn for bags, the main thing is that it holds its shape. How to crochet a backpack?

  • To move to the walls of the backpack, one row is knitted without increasing the back loops. Then we move up 25 cm.
  • Next you need to connect the valve. To do this, put 6 single crochets into the ring and pull them together. A semicircle is knitted in turning rows, increases are made in each row. The flap is then sewn to the backpack. A large button is sewn on and a loop is made.

Every princess wants to have a fashionable handbag - after all, you need to put all your wealth somewhere: rubber bands, clothes for dolls, pencils and notebooks. Knitting a baby handbag using knitting needles according to the pattern and description is not difficult for most mothers and grandmothers.

Both plain and colored threads are suitable for a children's handbag. And you can find a use for any leftover yarn here. Nowadays tassels, pom-poms, flowers made of yarn are in fashion - you can decorate with all this if you wish. knitted bags and backpacks.

A small knitted children's handbag, the work uses cotton or mixed yarn (cotton with acrylic, polyester), linen, bamboo, rayon are suitable. The flower is crocheted, but if you don't own one, we have added a flower option, knitted. The handbag measures 14.5/11 cm. A master class with diagrams is attached.

To work you will need:

  1. Cotton yarn (120 m./50 g.) 100 g. sea green, 20 gr. red, pink and lilac - in 2 threads.
  2. Knitting needles 5 mm thick.
  3. Hook 3.5 mm thick. (can be replaced with knitting needles).
  4. Large button or button.
  5. Thick needle.

Let's start knitting. We need a small handbag with a shoulder strap. We knit the product in simple garter stitch - that is, all rows are knit.

Work density - 16 p./30 r. = 10/10 cm. Abbreviations: loop - p., row - r., knit. - front, back. - purl, VP - chain stitch, SS - connect. column.

For knitting needles 5 mm thick. cast on 24 stitches and knit in garter stitch (knit stitch) until we reach a height of 24.5 cm. At this height we will make a step-by-step rounding on the handbag flap:

Next p.: 2 sts together knit., then knit., last 2 sts vm. persons

So we knit 5 cm and close the rest of the stitches. The flap will be 1 cm longer than on the pattern, but this is not a big deal.

The handle for the handbag can be crocheted or knitted in 3 threads. Crochet: take 3 threads on the hook and make a chain from VP, the length of the handle should be at least 98 cm, then knit 1 p. SS and finish knitting.

Knitting needles: on 5 mm knitting needles, 3 strands of yarn - cast on 3 or 4 stitches (depending on the width of the handle), and knit like this, without turning the work over, but simply moving it from one end of the knitting needle to the other:

Make a flower to decorate your bag. It can be crocheted or knitted.

First option, hook:

Using a crochet hook, we make a chain of 7 VPs and close it into a SS ring in a VP. Make 4 circles. r., as in the diagram:

  • First row: lilac yarn.
  • Second row: pink-red-siren. color.
  • Third and fourth rows: lilac. color.

Second option: knit a flower on knitting needles like this:

Cast on 65 sts on the needles, then make 11-13 sts. facial stitch. Next, we calculate every 9th loop and lower it. (you get 7 descents and 2 edge stitches). Next R. pick up all missed broaches and knit instead of knit 1 broaches. p. We collect all 65 sts from the knitting needle onto the needle and tighten it tightly into a knot, then we will close the ugly middle either with beads or with a cord tied on the needles.

Assembly

Fold the handbag as shown in the pattern. Sew along the wrong side with a thick needle and native thread. Make roundings in the lower corners. Either crochet the flap of the bag with a sc stitch, or cast on stitches along the entire edge of the flap and knit. satin stitch a few times, then fold the edging inward and hem with a needle.

You can decorate the valve with scallops, as in this video:

We sew a flower on the middle of the valve part, as well as buttons on the valve and the main part of the bag. Carefully sew on the handles at equal distances on the sides of the bag.

Knit a baby handbag for a girl with a pattern of an owl or a rose - what could be more interesting. Knitting using the jacquard technique is, of course, more difficult than using simple knitting, but things with patterns turn out much more original.
What to pay attention to when making jacquard:

  • First of all, when working, do not tighten the knitting; the pattern should not “tighten” the product. Let the thread go reverse side loosely, if it is long, intertwine the thread with a thread of the next color.
  • If there is only one drawing, and it is large. Count the number of cells in the pattern, subtract this number from the total number of loops. And we divide what’s left by 2. That’s how many stitches need to be counted from the sides to knit the pattern.
  • If the pictures are small and repetitive. Let’s say we know that we have 60 points in total. Let’s see how many small patterns with spaces in the main color can be “fitted” into these 60 points.

Handbags for girls should be bright and interesting. We knit a handbag with a pattern. The size of the product is 37/33 cm. If you want to make a smaller handbag, knit it not with 2, but with 1 thread.

To work you will need:

  1. Yarn - wool with acrylic, acrylic, or wool - 240 g. basic, light color, 30 g. different colors (see diagram).2
  2. Regular knitting needles 5 mm.
  3. The needle is thick.
  4. Lightning - 33 cm.

The handbag is made with 2-thread yarn, stockinette stitch with a pattern. Knitting density - 20 p./25 r. = 10/10 cm. It is advisable to tie a 10/10 cm probe so that it comes out right size bags. The product is knitted from two halves and sewn with native thread.

Knitting pattern in stockinette stitch.

We put 65 stitches on the knitting needles with the main color and knit 37.5 cm in height (approximately 88 rubles). We close the loops.

Significant other

Cast on 65 sts, knit in stockinette stitch 25 r. (10 cm).

We stop on the front side and mark the middle of the work with a pin. You should have 18 stitches of the main color on both sides of the design. Next, we look at the diagram of the owl and start drawing with knits:

1st r. jacquard: 18 persons. p. primary color, knit 8. n. basic colors (total, 4 l.p. orange, 5 l.p. main, 4 l.p. orange, 26 l.p. main color. Rotation of work.

2nd r. jacquard: 24 p. n. basic color, 7 p. p. orange, 3 p. p. main color, 7 p. n. orange, 24 p. n. main color Rotate the work.

3rd row: according to the face pattern. jacquard, not forgetting that at the beginning and end of the river. — 18 persons. n. main color

Pens

You can make one long handle from braids, or 2 short ones - as you like. How to make a cord for a handle with knitting needles - see the master class of the previous “bag with a flower”. You make several of these cords on knitting needles and weave them into one - you get a reliable handle. If you want the handle not to stretch, insert a rope inside each cord. You can also make the same braid for edging the top of the handbag.

Product assembly

We fold both parts of our product with the wrong side up and sew it with native thread, slightly rounding the corners at the bottom. We sew in a zipper or sew on buttons or buttons. Sew on the handle and braid for edging the top. We make tassels and sew them on the bottom of the bag.

Such jacquard patterns can be used for both children's and adult bags and clutches.

A lovely handbag with roses is suitable for both a little girl and a girl. It is made with knitting needles, the main thread is dark red. The handle is made of bamboo (you can buy it, but the price is steep), so feel free to exchange it for a suitable one of the same size.

You can find many options for making such handles, many use twisted wire, crocheted or knitted.

For such a bag it costs: 50 grams. dark red wool, 35 gr. white wool, and 10 gr. burgundy, pink and green. Designations - empty cell - persons. p., - out. P.

The handbag has a width of 36 cm, the height of the main fabric is 21 cm, and plus a red and white elastic band under the handle is 7 cm.

Colors - 0 - burgundy, 0 dark color- pink, triangles - light and dark green.

Work density - 20 p./26 r. = 10/10 cm. Knitting needles 4 mm thick.

We need to knit 2 fabrics 48/22 cm and an elastic band 7/23 cm.

Cast on 55 stitches and knit with the main thread to the end of the row. At the end of the river add 1 p.

2nd row: purl, at the end of the row. add 1 st. On knitting needles 57 sts.

3rd row: knit, add 1 stitch at the beginning and end of the row.

4th row: purl, add 1 stitch at the beginning and end of the row.

5th row: like 3rd.

6th row: start knitting small patterns. 9 persons. p. main color, 1 person. green, 30 p. main. color, 1 l. green, 22 main colors. Total 65 p.

Cute and lightweight crocheted backpack for babies. Useful for a walk 🙂

Welcome to my knitting blog! Prepared detailed description children's knitting backpack. Knits up quite quickly, you can please your baby with a convenient accessory

I knitted it a long time ago, two years ago, in August 2015, and showed it then in the article “”. For those interested, look at the description, the bag also closes with a flap.

But, for the handle on the bag, a beautiful braided “braid” was used. I showed how to weave such handles from cords in two parts. You might also want to decorate your backpack with these interesting handles instead of straps.

So, since then, I still haven’t gotten around to putting together a description of the backpack and posting it on the blog. Finally, I managed to finish the work I started, please enjoy!

If you notice any mistakes or inaccuracies in the description of the backpack, please tell me and I’ll correct everything. Still, a lot of time has passed, I could have made a mistake somewhere, I apologize in advance.

Description for knitting a backpack

Dimensions

  • Backpack: 24x24 cm, bottom 17x8 cm, flap height 15 cm.
  • Straps: length 104 cm each, width 5 cm.
  • Bow: 11x7cm.

I would like to draw your attention to the fact that the backpack turns out to be so textured and dense for two reasons:

1) thanks to thick threads, which, in addition to everything, are springy in themselves, so to speak, dense, but light. So, the choice of yarn matters.
2) due to the fact that rows of single crochets and double crochets alternate in the walls of the backpack. It seems like a small thing, but experience shows that such a simple technique allows you to compact the canvas.

What was needed for the backpack:

  • Yarn: weight, economy class, wool blend (sold in skeins) in three colors - yellow (approx. 150 g), pink (approx. 15-20 g), blue (approx. 25-30 g).

I wrote in detail about this yarn. It shows samples of yarn and how it looks in skeins. The article and the comments to it also show examples of products made from it.

My backpack is knitted with one thread. The total yarn consumption is about 200 grams, i.e. the weight of the backpack is finished form(with bow and straps) 186 grams.

  • Hook No. 4.5.
  • Button - 1 pc.
  • A factory marker or a regular pin to mark the beginning of the rows.
  • Ruler (for measuring the size of straps, fringe threads).
  • Sewing needle (for sewing on buttons and straps).
  • Scissors - for cutting the ends of threads.

Designations

P - loop.
VP - air loop.
Half-loop (another name for “wall”): front/back walls of loops.
“Shell” - knit *sc, 3 sc, sc* in an “arch” from 2 ch of the previous row.
SS - connecting post.
RLS (SbN) - single crochets.
TSbN - triple single crochet, i.e. We knit three sc into one loop.
PSBN - half single crochet.
Until k.r. - to the end of the row.

Explanations on knitting techniques for a backpack

  1. The backpack is knitted in the round. The transition in the rows was carried out “in a spiral”, at the beginning of each row immediately knitting the next column into the 1st loop of the next row - without lifting loops and connecting columns.
  2. Knitting starts from the bottom, which is knitted according to the pattern (see below). The backpack is knitted quite simply, but it is IMPORTANT to knit the bottom correctly. The size of the backpack and its shape will depend on this. Therefore, it is better not to rush to knit the walls of the backpack until the bottom of the desired shape is carefully and correctly knitted.
  3. In the pattern for the bottom of the backpack, knitting starts from the middle line, consisting of a “chain” of air loops. This “chain” is tied in a circle with single crochets. At the same time, uniform additions are made at both ends of the “chain” in order to obtain an oval rounding of the corners of the bottom.

The row is considered complete when the “chain” is completely tied on both sides (one way and the other), i.e. when knitted a full circle, returning to the beginning of the row.

Beginning of work

So let's get started. Yarn yellow color I type a “chain” of 15 VPs. This is the central (middle) row of the bottom.

♦ I grab the posts by both half-loops (by both walls of the loops).

♦ I mark the beginning with a pin marker so as not to get confused in the rows.

1 r: 15СБН (one in each loop of the “chain”). Having reached the edge of the “chain”, I knit TSbN in the 15th loop. She went to the opposite side of the “chain”, “mirror” tied it to the cr. 15sc (of which the first one will be knitted in the same 15th stitch in which the tscbn was knitted). I finished the row by knitting a tsbn in the last st. = 36 sts.

So, knitted in the first row: twice *15sc + 3rd stitch* = 36 p.

2 r: 16 sc, in the next 17th p. knit a tsc, in the 18th p - one sc, in the 19th p - tsc. On the opposite side, knit “mirror”: the next 16 sc, in the next st. TSBN, then in the next st - one sc, in the last st. TSBN = 44 sts.

Knitted in the 2nd row: twice *16 sc + 3rd stitch + 1sc + 3rd stitch* = 46 sts.

3 r: 17 RLS, in the next paragraph 3rd RLS, then three RLS - one in each RLS, in the next. n. again 3rd RLS. On the opposite side we knit “mirror”: 17 sc, in the next p. tsc, then three sc - one in each sc, in the last p. 3rd sc = 50 p.

In the 3rd row: twice *17СБН+ 3rd column +3СБН + 3rd column* = 52 p.

4 r: 1sc, in the next st. tsc (this will be 18,19,20), then knit five sc - one in each sc (21,22,23,24,25), in the next st again tsc (26 ,27,28). Opposite side: 17 sc (i.e. up to the 45th loop inclusive), in the next, 46th stitch, triple sc (46,47,48), then five sc - one in each sc (49,50,51 ,52.53 p), in the last p. TSBN = 56 p.

In the 4th row: twice *17СБН+ 3rd stitch +5СБН + 3rd stitch* = 56 p.

5 p: 18SC, in the next st. TSBN (these will be 19,20,21 p), then 7SC - one in each SC (22,23,24,25,26,27,28,29,30), in next paragraph TSBN (31,32,33). We go to the opposite side: 18СБН (i.e. up to the 51st loop inclusive), in the next, 52nd stitch, knit TSBN (52,53,54), then 9СБН - one in each SC (55,56, 57,58,59,60,61,62,63 p), in the last p. triple sc = 64 p.

In the 5th row: twice *18СБН+ 3rd column +9СБН + 3rd column* = 64 p.

So, if I didn’t make a mistake anywhere when counting, now I have 64 stitches in the bottom. The size of the bottom is 17x8 cm.

BACKPACK WALLS

I continue to knit the sides of the backpack - in the round, now without additions. I reset the account to zero (that is, the row report starts anew). Again I use a marker at the beginning of the first row of the backpack walls to mark the beginning of the rows.

Starting from the second row, I knit without lifting loops, i.e. in a spiral.

2 r: Stbn to k.r.

Then I knit, alternating two rows of double crochets and single crochets. This is necessary to give strength to the walls of the backpack. If you knit only in single crochets, the fabric may “mow”. It may also be too dense. And, conversely, if you knit only the SSN, the fabric will turn out to be soft and loose.

I continue, alternating every two rows of art. with nak. and Art. without nac. So:

in 3-4, 7-8, 11-12, 15-16, 19-2 rows of dc;
in 5-6, 9-10, 13-14, 17-18, 21 rows StBN.

I have finished knitting the walls of the backpack, now I will knit the flap - the closure for the backpack. Row counting continues.

The flap on the backpack will not be knitted in a circle, but in return rows with decreases, i.e. At the end of each row I knit the loops together, reducing their number. After which, I turn around and go in the opposite direction.

22 r: 1 VP, 26СБН.
23 r: 1 VP, 22СБН.
24 r: 2 VP, 22 SSN.
25 r: straight 2 VP, 22 SSN.
26 - 27 rows: VP, 22СБН.
28 r: 2 VP, 20 SSN.
29 r: 2 VP, 20 SSN.
30 r: VP, 18СБН.
31 r: VP, 16СБН.
32 r: 2 VP, 14 SSN.
33 r: VP, 12СБН.

The semi-oval valve is ready, I don’t cut the thread. Next you need to tie it with pink yarn in a “shell” pattern. The row count was reset to zero.

Valve TRIM

To ensure that the first pink row did not leave sloppy “traces,” I first tied the flap with yellow yarn.

1 r: turned in the opposite direction, walked along the yellow thread edge loops valve and backpack RLS. I cut off the yellow thread, secured the end and hid it. I continued tying the valve with pink thread.

2 r: 46 StBN.
3 r: VP, 1СБН, then: *2 VP, skip 2 loops, SC* - repeat from * to * three times. Next *3VP, skip two, sc*, then **2VP, skip 2, sc**
4 r: VP, in the “arch” of 2 VPs of the previous row, knit *StBN, 3Dc, StBN* - From * to * - to cr.

The valve cover is ready. I cut off the thread and hid the end in the linen.

All that remains is to prepare the straps. Using blue yarn I cast on a “chain” of 5 VPs and knit:

1 r: VP, 5СБН.
2 r: VP, 5СБН.

3 – 77 rr: 2 VP, 5 SSN.

Finished Art again. without cash:

78 – 79 pp: VP, StBN.

I cut the thread and tied the second strap in the same way.

Fringe tassels for straps

I cut 120 cm of thread - 2 pink and 2 blue. I folded it several times with a 20 cm long skein. I threaded it through the strap one by one, while simultaneously grabbing the back of the bag. I tied it in a knot and trimmed the ends of the tassels.

I sewed the straps on the back of the backpack - next to the flap and at the base of the backpack.

All that remains is to decorate the backpack with a flower. I cast on 10 VP with the same blue yarn and crochet No. 4.5:

1 r: 2 VP, 10 PRDC for the back walls of the loops.
2-10 rr: 2 VP, 10 PRSN - behind the front walls of the loops.

You will get a rectangular canvas. Having cut a small length of thread, I pulled the flower together in the center. I attached it to the backpack by pulling the ends of the thread to the wrong side and securing it to a knot there. I cut off about a meter of pink thread, wound it into a skein, wrapped it around the flower and tightened it.

Finally, I sewed the button to the backpack at a level that allowed me to fasten the flap through the hole in its border.

This completes the backpack for the baby. I hope I managed to make the description clear. I will be glad to see your incarnations. I wish everyone easy knitting!

Best regards, Saule Vagapova

Twisted cord for straps (2 pcs.):

For a cord measuring about 124 cm, you will need 2 dark pink threads and 2 silver threads, each 310 cm. Place these threads together and tie a knot at each end. Attach one side of the cord to the door handle. With the threads pulled tight, rotate the free end of the cord in one direction until the threads are twisted tightly. Remove it from the handle and fold it in half. The cord will begin to twist on its own. Stretch it periodically so that it curls evenly along its entire length. Run your fingers up and down the cord to smooth out any uneven areas.

Backpack assembly:

Turn the top of the pocket along the line formed by the 21st row and sew the lapel with a blind seam using dark pink thread. Sew the pocket to the front of the backpack (as in the photo). Sew the front and back pieces, starting from the top corner. Attach the straps to the backpack: pass one cord through the holes on the front side, and the 2nd cord through the holes on the back part. Tie both ends of each cord together in a knot, straighten them and sew them to the bottom corners of the backpack (see photo).
