How to design a knitted scarf. Knitted children's scarves, selection Scarf decoration knitted

From early autumn to mid-spring, a scarf is one of the most popular accessories in our climate. It performs two functions at the same time: it covers the neck from the wind and allows you to complement and complete the image. A children's knitted scarf for every mother is a real field for self-expression.

Fashionable styles and models

Scarf collar

In everyday life, such a scarf is called a shirtfront. Very functional item! This accessory does not get lost when moving, fits snugly to the neck and covers part of the chest and shoulders. Pay attention to the edge of the shirtfront: it can be rounded or square. Usually boys prefer the square version, while girls prefer the softer, rounded one.

The shirtfront can be worn over the head, or it can have a clasp at the back. Clasp types:

  • buttons;
  • hooks;
  • "Velcro" - Velcro.

If the hooks and Velcro remain inside, then the buttons can be a decorative element and be in the most visible place.

When choosing a collar scarf, it is worth considering that it is worn under outerwear. Accordingly, it does not necessarily have to be combined with a jacket or coat. But there should be harmony with what is worn underneath - a blouse, a jumper, a bodysuit. You can have several similar scarves in different colors, or you can get by with one universal one.

With pom-poms

Fluffy wool balls add fun and lightness knitted clothes! You can no longer hide such a scarf inside; its place is on the neck of the coat. Most often, pompoms are located at the ends of the scarf - one at a time or several at a time.

The absolute hit of recent seasons is large fur pom-poms. They can be purchased at sewing supply stores or online. Accessory decorated with a pompom made of natural fur, looks expensive and stylish.

Pom-poms sewn along the entire length look very elegant on a children's scarf. They can be strengthened randomly, or you can lay out some kind of pattern with them.

With the help of pompoms you can diversify any banal scarf that you have. Choose a suitable color combination and make pompoms with your own hands, as shown in the picture:

By the way, tassels look no less original on children's scarves. This option is good for both boys and girls.

Knitted sets

The combination of “hat + scarf” (and maybe also gloves or mittens) is the culmination of the image. Harmonious combination headdress and scarf with each other and with outerwear always attracts the attention of others.

  • Kids and their mothers really like animal-themed accessories. Owl hats, hats with ears (hares, bears, cats), hats with eyes - the scope for imagination is unlimited.

Please note that it is the headdress in in this case is the main emphasis. The scarf is more modest and only supports the main motive. But it can also be the other way around. Animal scarves, for example, a cat scarf, a snake scarf, a crocodile or a dachshund, look original and exclusive. The hat here should be laconic so that the image is not overloaded.

  • For older children knitted set may be close to the adult version. However, an interesting knitting (for example, with “bumps”), bright colors of yarn or an interesting pattern will definitely emphasize the young age of the owner.

Scarf tie

Unusual model scarf that is suitable for both adults and children. At one end of such a product a loop is knitted into which the opposite end is threaded. The accessory ends up crossed on the neck, like a tied tie. At the same time - no knots, which children don’t like so much!

At first glance, this is more of a girlish scarf, although you can also find a “boyish” version: it’s all about the color, length and possible design of the ends. For kids, you can knit an animal face or any other decoration on the loop. This accessory is quite appropriate to wear not only outdoors, but also indoors.

Colors

Children's yarn is full of bright colors. The choice of color is limited only by the desire of the child and the compatibility of the color of the scarf with outerwear.

  • Girls prefer bright colors - red, yellow, orange, pink. To young ladies Delicate colors are also great, for example, beige, soft blue, dusty pink.

  • For boys - blue, brown, green, gray, which can be diluted with bright colors if desired.

Material

The more natural fibers a material contains, the better. For children's clothing, this is an almost unshakable rule. The warmest types of yarn:

  • angora;
  • alpaca;
  • merino;
  • goat fluff.

They are pleasant to the touch and conduct air well, which means they conserve heat. But a small percentage of synthetics should still be present - this gives the product strength and elasticity. The ideal combination is 80% wool and 20% acrylic.

Mercerized cotton is good for demi-season scarves.

How to wear

The simplest and most unpretentious option is to tie a scarf around your neck with the ends hanging freely. Ordinary scarves are tied this way so that they perform the main function, i.e. warmed up. The knot on the neck can be hidden by straightening the scarf so that the ends hang on the chest exactly one above the other. Children can tie a knot at the back. If a child goes down the slide or plays in the winter active games, it is safer to tidy up the ends of the scarf.

Knitting for children is a great opportunity to show their imagination and experiment with colors and types of yarn. When choosing materials for working with “adult” things, for example, for ourselves or our friends, we rarely opt for non-standard compositions of materials or bright color combinations. Not everyone is lucky enough to work with yarn for knitting children's clothes or toys, so I suggest knitting a bright, very warm and cozy children's scarf. Please your child, or give a nice gift to your friend's young mother.

Knitting a baby scarf

We knit a children's scarf using knitting needles based on a unique master class from Ekaterina Kuryleva.
To begin with, let’s choose a warm, soft “plush” yarn for knitting children’s clothes. Despite the artificial composition, it is absolutely hypoallergenic, does not irritate the skin, does not cause itching, retains heat well, and also, which is very important for children's things, is very simple and unpretentious to care for. Our
made from “Bambi” yarn from the Nazar brand, rich green color. Such the color will suit for both boys and girls. The skein is 142m/50g, one is enough for us to knit a scarf for a child.
Also, we will need a tool suitable for the threads, in this case an accessory
№ 4,5.
To decorate in the shape of a strawberry, you will need yarn of any composition in red, white and green colors. These can be small balls that usually remain from knitting large items, the use of which is usually very difficult to find. I think every craftswoman understands what we’re talking about! The template will require cardboard, as well as scissors and a hook.
Our children's scarf has a clasp, so it will fit tightly around the neck and not fall off or twist. You can choose what it will be: hooks, buttons, snaps or Velcro.
The pattern in which this scarf is knitted is called “fur”. The product is not only very original, but also incredibly warm, because each eyelet provides additional volume. A diagram for this pattern is not required, just read the description carefully. We start knitting by casting on 31 stitches. To knit fabric using the fur technique, cast on an odd number of stitches. We knit the entire next row with facial loops.

We turn the fabric over and start knitting “fur” loops. We remove the edge, insert the knitting needle into the next loop behind the front wall and immediately throw the working thread onto it. Now we wrap the thread around the index and middle fingers in two turns and knit the two formed loops with the front one.

Next knit stitch (KL). Next, we continue the pattern and alternating the “fur” element and the LP until the end of the row. In the next row we knit all the LPs behind the front wall. Carefully hold the “fur” loops with your finger and knit the LP. We knit a row with purl loops (IP). All LP again. Next comes a row of “fur”.

We continue to knit the fabric according to the principle: one row of “fur”, three rows of stockinette stitch. Knit as high as you need to completely cover the baby's neck. As a result, we will fold the fabric to create a tight-fitting scarf. Now you need to make the clasp. Here you can sew on several buttons, hooks, or what is even more convenient for active baby- Velcro.

Let's decorate our scarf with a bright pompom in the shape of a strawberry. This decorative element is more suitable for a girl, but for a boy, using the same principle, you can make a pompom in the shape of a soccer ball. Many needlewomen have had to make pom-poms with their own hands more than once, but not everyone knows that there is a certain pattern, and if you follow the correct alternation of colors, you can get such an accessory. These pom-poms can be used to decorate any children's clothing: hats, mittens, sweaters. You can also make pom-poms with your children; this activity should especially captivate girls.
Let's start by cutting out two pompom templates from cardboard. And here is a diagram of winding yarn. Pass a green thread between the templates; at the end of the work we will fix its pompom. We start with red yarn. We wrap it tightly around the template in two rows.

Now we need white yarn. Make four turns around the template. Now we again tightly wrap the red thread in two rows. We make four more turns with white thread. And again red yarn.

We wrap green yarn several times on one side of the template. Using a hook, secure the free edges of the threads. The green thread that we placed between the templates at the beginning needs to be pulled towards each other. Using scissors, cut all the threads from the top. We tie a green thread tightly into several knots.

It turns out like this pompom.

Now, using scissors, you need to “cut” the pompom so that its shape begins to resemble a strawberry.

All that remains is to sew the strawberry to finished product. You can make several of these strawberries and sew them along the edge.
ready for your baby!

Every woman will agree that to create a complete fashionista look, it is not enough to wear stylish clothes, you also need to know a lot about accessories. A scarf can become a decisive accent of an image that attracts the attention of others; it can be used in shaping your own image not only in the cold, but almost all year round.

Every woman has at least one simple, nondescript scarf in her wardrobe, most likely of a plain color and regular texture, which is a shame to throw away and looks too simple to use as an accessory. What if you give your simple scarf new life, decorating it with your own hands?

How to decorate a scarf?

You can come up with many options for how to decorate your scarf. Naturally, when choosing a decoration option, you need to take into account the color - light or dark, plain or multi-colored, pale shade or motley color scheme. The texture is also of great importance - if it is a large knitted scarf, of course, crocheted jewelry flowers will look ridiculous on it, in which case it is better to make a lush fringe on its edges, and your warm scarf will take on a completely different look.

Small, sophisticated flowers can be used to decorate a thin spring scarf-accessory in pale tones.

How to decorate a scarf with a brooch?

This cute brooch looks very gentle, crocheted, on a regular plain scarf, giving it sophistication and femininity. You can make a brooch in this way:

1. We make a chain of 52 air loops.

2. Turn the knitting inside out, make a double crochet, count the fourth loop from the hook and thread the hook into the fourth “stitch”, knit a double crochet.

3. We knit a chain loop, then double crochet again, skipping one stitch.

5. Repeat the V-shaped pattern until the end of the row.

7. We knit five double crochets under the chain loop of the previous row.

8. Next, we make a single crochet under the chain loop of the previous row, located between adjacent V-shaped patterns and knit six double crochets under the chain loop of the V-shaped pattern of the previous row.

9. We tie it to the end if we make a flower without a bead or leave 9 free V-shaped patterns and knit it a little differently so that the core is visible.

10. Now we knit the petals with single crochets, and we knit half-stitches into the intermediate air loop. We got this spring. We cut the thread at a distance of at least 20-30 cm.

11. We begin to roll the flower from the edge with thin petals.

12. Now we sew on the bead and match it to the color of the scarf.

class="center">

13. Sew a pin with reverse side brooches

14. Now we decorate the scarf:

How to decorate a scarf with fringe?

First we need to calculate how many threads we need. If the scarf is knitted with knit and purl loops, then there are one or two fringe threads for each track. If you want thick fringe, double the number of threads.

1. Take the yarn and cut it into pieces, the length of which should be twice the intended fringe. It will be easier if we wrap the thread around the cardboard. The width of the cardboard should match the length of the fringe. One turn around the cardboard will be equal to the length of the thread that we need.

2. Without removing the cardboard, cut the yarn on one side with scissors. Fold all the threads in half.

3. We begin to hang the prepared blanks on the edge of the scarf. To do this, hook the middle of the thread and pull it through the bottom edge of the scarf.

4. We have an elongated loop into which we need to thread the ends of the threads. Pull the thread tightly. We got one fringe. By pulling the thread along the front side of the scarf, we get a knot with a constriction. On the wrong side it will look like a loop. We hang all the other threads in the same way. By threading several threads at once, we will get a fluffier fringe.

5. Trim the finished fringe with scissors. To make it more voluminous, pull a bunch of threads through a certain gap along the edge of the scarf.

To decorate a children's scarf, all you need is leftover thread of different colors and types and a little imagination. The easiest way to decorate a scarf is to crochet balls and tie them to the edges of the scarf as a fringe. Making balls is very easy:

1. Make 5 air loops, close them in a circle.

2. We tie the middle, make 10 loops.

3. We knit 5 rows.

4. We tighten all the loops into three, then three into one.

Now we tie the ball to the scarf.
