Pattern for a knitted sweater with deer
Knitting pattern for a sweater: jacquard pattern Legend for knitting sweaters

Jacquard patterns with Norwegian motifs - deer, snowflakes, stylized crosses, etc. - are perhaps a classic that will never go out of style. If you like deer on a sweater, try knitting them according to your chosen pattern (which are very varied). There is no particular difficulty in this; you just need to be careful when working with colored yarn and the sweater with deer will be ready.

Options for placing animals on a sweater:

  • alternating stripes throughout the product jacquard patterns(deer, snowflakes, hearts, six-leaved leaves, etc.);
  • the ribbon with deer is located in the center of the sweater, and is complemented with stripes of other ornaments at the top and bottom;
  • stripes with deer are at the top and bottom of the sweater, and other patterns frame them, leaving the middle monochromatic (sometimes it is knitted in various arans), or the middle is also filled with ornaments;
  • deer can be positioned on the sweater in one direction or towards each other;
  • sometimes such a sweater is a thing on which one large animal is knitted in detail, and not in the form of a pattern, as in ornaments. This is more complex and time-consuming than making jacquard stripes, but they are somewhat easier to knit due to less change in color areas.

Such products cannot be called only men's or only women's. Depending on the selected scheme and color range, they are perfect for mom, dad, son, and daughter. And if you knit them for the whole family at once and go on an autumn bike ride together, you will certainly attract attention as a stylish, fashionable family.

The knitting pattern for such patterns is more tender and touching for children, and more brutal for dad. For mom, the design of such a sweater can also include romantic motifs (hearts, for example).

If your family has become fond of such motifs, you can knit other things in addition to sweaters: scarves, hats, mittens, socks. You will have a whole wardrobe for your household, who will now be provided with different types necessary warm clothes.

When performing multi-colored motifs, there are several points that require attention:

  • the skeins will constantly get tangled, so you need to take care of the container in which they will be located (a box with holes for threads, an old kettle with a spout, etc.);
  • when knitting such patterns according to the pattern, you need to carefully count the loops of each color;
  • on the reverse side, the yarn should be carefully intertwined so that no holes or pulled areas are formed on the front side.

Methods of weaving threads

To knit a jacquard pattern according to the chosen pattern, threads of each color on the wrong side are intertwined in different ways:

  • weaving (working with one skein of selected colors; when knitting, their threads are intertwined between sections of different colors). In this option, it is possible that holes are formed on the front side (with weak weave) or tightened areas (with tight weave);

  • fastening (threads of a different color are intertwined after each knitted loop and remain on the wrong side). This method of knitting is more reliable, but requires careful pulling so that the yarn of a different color does not peek out from the face;

  • crossing (this option is used when knitting a pattern large drawing) - there can be several balls of the same color in a work: each new colored section is knitted from a separate ball, when changing threads they cross from the wrong side and a different color is introduced into the knitting.

Tip: to knit a neat product with colored areas, make sure that the yarn is of the same thickness (or better yet, of the same quality; for this, buy the same brand of yarn).

To knit a sweater with deer or other colored patterns, you will need care, accuracy, and attentiveness. Perhaps the first experience of such knitting will not be very successful, the product will turn out “clumsy”. Therefore, before tying a large object with an ornament, practice on control samples, work out the strength of tightening the threads, working with several balls, and pay attention when reading the diagram (see below). When the quality of knitting the test sample suits you, you can knit a larger item.

Jacquard is a crocheting or knitting technique that creates a pattern. Most often, jacquard consists of two colors and includes an ornament of repeating geometric and floral motifs, which can be complemented by large inserts of animal images.

Jacquard sweater

Jacquard-style clothing is popular among both men and women. Easy to associate with deer. and understandable. The main thing is to follow the drawing and not make mistakes so that the image turns out well. Consider, with deer.

Description of work

Dimensions of the future finished knitted product:XS. Parameters of the finished jumper:

  • width is 82 cm;
  • length - 64 cm;
  • sleeve length - 47 cm.

To work you will need Sisu knitting yarn - wool + nylon, 160 m - 50 g. You need 350 g of white shade, another 100 g of blue color, as well as circular knitting needles No. 2, No. 3.5. Estimated density of knitting loops: 27 p. = 10 cm.

Knitting the front and back looks like this:

  1. On knitting needles No. 2 you need to cast on 220 loops with white thread.
  2. Using an elastic band according to the 2x2 pattern (knit 2, then purl 2) knit 6 cm.
  3. Now you need to switch to knitting needles No. 3. 41 cm are knitted in stockinette stitch. After that, the loops are divided in half into the front and back, 100 loops each.
  4. Then between the loops close 10 loops for the armhole. The loops are put aside.
  • First, cast on 52 loops with white thread on knitting needles No. 2.
  • A 2x2 elastic band, 6 cm long, is knitted in a circle.

  • Now switch to knitting needles No. 3. In the 1st row, add 5 loops evenly. You should get 57 loops.
  • Knit in stockinette stitch according to the pattern.
  • To widen the sleeve, 28 stitches are added evenly. You need to add 1 loop at a time. Do this every 10th row, strictly on each side of the 1st loop.
  • After 47 cm there should be 85 loops on the knitting needles. After this, the first loop, as well as 5 loops symmetrically on each side of it (a total of 11 loops) are closed for the armhole.
  • The remaining 74 loops are set aside.
  1. All postponed loops are thrown onto circular loops No. 3 - 348.
  2. In the fifth row, loops are reduced evenly (28 loops in total). 320 left.
  3. Next, knit according to the deer pattern for the yoke.
  4. Having knitted to the desired size, remove the middle 22 loops (along the front and another along the back) onto an auxiliary knitting needle. And the remaining loops are knitted in knit/purl rows until the end.
  5. As a result, there should be 172 stitches on the needles, including the segment on the auxiliary needles.
  6. Now the cuff is knitted. When it is knitted according to the pattern, decrease 52 stitches evenly and switch to needles No. 2.
  7. The collar is knitted with 2x2 rib (16 cm).
  8. The loops are closed and the sleeves are sewn into the armholes.

The result is a women's sweater with deer. The knitting pattern can be applied to any pattern. The main thing is to remember that you should make decreases and additions so that the drawing does not move. The first loops, which will then hide under the seam, are perfect for this.

Women's raglan knitting

Raglan knitting is a universal technique that is primarily recommended for beginners to master. The advantage of raglan is that if the calculations are made correctly, such a product does not need to be sewn, and such a sweater also fits perfectly to the figure. What’s most remarkable is that it doesn’t matter at all whether it’s a men’s or a women’s sweater with deer - the raglan knitting pattern is always the same.

It is best to knit raglan on circular knitting needles. In the first 2 rows, only one knit stitch is used. When the row closes into a ring, mark the line for the raglan. Depending on the size, it is necessary to divide all knitting into different zones. You can divide the loops using a contrasting thread or special markers. The threads are divided into 4 parts - back, 2 shoulders, front.

Be sure to knit a “sprout”. It is needed so that the canvas sits evenly on the back. Most often, the parameters of the sprout are 3-7 cm. The increase in loops must be done on both sides of the raglan line. To do this, a yarn over is made in each row on the front side to the side of the raglan line. Raglan is knitted until the jacket reaches the required width in the back. Then they move on to the sleeves. It is advisable to knit them separately. The knitting ends with an elastic band.

A women's raglan sweater takes the same amount of time to knit as a men's one. The difference in work is manifested only in knitting the sleeves. Female model allows knitting of straight sleeves with 2x2 elastic at the cuffs, male model assumes uniform decreases and increases, otherwise the sleeve will not fit the figure.

For convenience, you can remove the loops from which the raglan will be knitted auxiliary knitting needles. Then the knitting will continue in the round and there will be no need to sew the sleeves.

Features of work

Each women's sweater with deer, the knitting or crocheting pattern of which is described in any source, requires careful work with the pattern. The broaches in the jacquard should have the same degree of tension. Raglan sweaters, women's or men's, especially suffer from uneven thread pulling. And this should definitely be taken into account.

A sweater with deer is extremely popular in winter. This original print does not lose its popularity year after year. Many designers use it in their collections, and craftswomen are constantly searching for patterns for knitting a similar pattern on knitting needles. This article will provide you with a diagram and explanation of the process of working on such a sweater with different sizes for women.

A knitting example will be described for sizes 42, 44, 46, 48 and 50.

The finished sweater with deer will have the following dimensions:

Width, (cm):

  • eighty two;
  • ninety;
  • ninety eight;
  • One hundred six;
  • one hundred and fourteen.

Length, (approx. cm):

  • sixty four;
  • sixty five;
  • sixty six;
  • sixty seven;
  • sixty eight.

Sleeve length, (cm):

  • forty seven;
  • forty seven;
  • forty eight;
  • forty eight;
  • forty eight.

In order to knit the presented sweater with deer, prepare Sisu yarn, which consists of wool and nylon in a ratio of 80:20%. In this case, the consumption for each of the sizes is 350, 400, 400, 450 and 450 g for a light shade and 100 g for a dark shade. You will also need to use circular needles numbered 2 and 3.5.

The knitting density is twenty-seven loops - ten centimeters.

The front and back are knitted first. At the initial stage, you need to cast on circular knitting needles with the second number a certain number of loops from light yarn, respectively 220, 244, 264, 288 and 308. Next, a two-by-two elastic band is knitted in a sequence of two front and two purl elements (for the first three sizes - 6 cm, for the remaining two – 7 cm). After this, you have to change the needles to the third number and knit based on the faces. iron. Having knitted forty-one centimeters, the loops are divided into two parts for the front and back (100, 112, 122, 134 and 144 links). Among these loops you need to close off ten for the armhole. Now you can leave them for a while.

To create the sleeves of a sweater with deer, the procedure is as follows: cast on the following number of loops from light yarn (knitting needles No. 2): 52, 56, 60, 60 and 64. Then knit a two-by-two elastic band in the round, 6 cm long for sizes 42 , 44 and 46 and 7 cm - 48 and 50. The next stage is the transition to knitting needles with the third number. In the first row you need to add 5, 5, 9, 7 stitches = 57, 61, 65, 69 and 71 stitches. Next comes the front stitch.

To expand the sleeve, a uniform number of links is added, namely 28 for all sizes except the last fiftieth, in in this case their number will be 32 pieces. Then there is an addition of one loop in all tenth rows on both sides of the first. After 47, 47, 48, 48 and 48 cm on the knitting needles: 85, 89, 93, 97 and 103 buttonholes. Next, the first link, the fifth on each side of it (eleven in total), is closed for the armhole. The remainder, respectively: 74, 78, 82, 86, 92 units (they are postponed).

The next step in knitting a sweater with deer will be to create a yoke using circular needles number three, where the set aside links are placed (= 348, 380, 408, 440, 472). Knit section “A” according to the diagram. Having reached the fifth row, it is worth carrying out a uniform decrease in the elements: 28, 28, 24, 24 and 24 = 320, 352, 384, 416 and 448. Now segment “B” is knitted according to the pattern. Please note that the arrow indicates right size. The reduction of the links occurs as indicated in the diagram (this is necessary to narrow the sweater). After you have knitted to a certain point, put an additional needle into work. This tool is used to remove the middle twenty-two buttonholes along the front and back. Those links that remain are knitted as knit and purl rows until the end of segment “B” in the pattern.

Having finished knitting segment “B” on the tools, you should have the following number of links: 172, 184, 196, 212 and 228, taking into account the loops from the additional knitting needles. Next comes knitting segment “C”. Upon completion, proceed to a uniform decrease: 52, 56, 60, 64 and 68. Now you can switch to knitting needles with the second number.

The last step in knitting a sweater with deer is knitting a collar based on two by two elastic: 16, 16, 17, 18 and 18 cm. The final stage consists of closing all the loops and sewing the sleeves into the armholes.

We hope that the described pattern for knitting a sweater with deer will be useful to both experienced and novice needlewomen who want to add a fashionable item to their wardrobe.

Rear end

Pink yarn and sp. No. 5.5 emb. 69-75-83-89-95-101 p. and knitting. 10 cm rubber band 1 x 1.

Last purl. we knit the row purl. pet. After this, we remove the knitting on the joint. No. 6 and continue the work of persons. Ch. and white yarn. Having reached a height of 11-12-14-16-17-19 cm, we knit the pattern according to diagram 1.

We need to calculate the place where the pattern begins. from mid. det. self (indicated in the diagram with an arrow).

First you need to knit 1-15 rubles. according to diagram, after which we switch to white thread and knit. another 5 rubles

Next we move on to the elm. according to cx. 2 from 21st. from the arrow according to the size in this way: knit st. before rap. (if they exist), then we need to repeat the rap. A (17 stitches) x 2, knit stitch. after rap., if necessary.

We knit 21-38 ro. according to cx. and at the same time, having reached a knitting height of 35-36-37-38-40-41 centimeters, we close the openings on both sides in every 2nd r. 1 x 3-3-4-4-5-5 sts, 1-1-1-2-2-3 x 2 sts, 2-3-4-3-3-3 x 1 sts. The result should be 55-59-63-67-71-73 stitches.

In this case, after we knit the pattern according to pattern 2, we need to knit 4 rows with white yarn and then knit the pattern according to pattern 3, starting from the 43rd row. We calculate the beginning of knitting the pattern, again, ourselves, starting from the middle of the part (this place is indicated by an arrow in the diagram).

We knit 43-57 r., after which we continue with white yarn until the very end. At the same time, having reached the armhole height of 18-19-20-21-21-22 cm, to cut the neckline we close the central 21-21-21-21-23-23 stitches and knit the two sides separately.

To round the cutout, we need to close with inside in the subsequent second row, another 1 x 2 stitches. At the armhole height of 20-21-22-23-24 cm, you need to close the last 15-17-19-21-22-23 stitches of the shoulder. The second part of the neckline is knitted in exactly the same way.

Before

It is knitted in exactly the same way as spinun, only the neckline will be a little deeper. Having reached the armhole height of 11-12-13-14-14-15 cm, we remove the central 13-13-13-13-15-15 stitches onto an additional knitting needle and forget about them for now, and knit each side separately, not forgetting close to round the neckline in every second row 2 x 2 p. and 2 x 1 p.

Having reached the armhole height of 20-21-22-23-23-24 cm, close the remaining 15-17-19-21-22-23 shoulder loops. The second side is knitted in exactly the same way.

Sleeves

Pink thread and sp. No. 5.5 we need to cast on 35-37-39-41-41-43 stitches. and knit with an elastic band 1 x 1 10 cm. Last purl. the row is knitted purl. pet. After that, changing sp. on No. 6, we continue knitting faces. Ch. and white thread, equal. approx. in the first r. 8 stitches, in the end we get 43-45-47-49-49-51 stitches.

For sleeve bevels, we need to add 4-5-2-7-1-3 x 1 p on both sides of the knitting in each 10-10-10-8-8-8 row, then in each 8-8-6-6- 6 rub. 2-1-5-1-9-7 x 1 p. = 55-57-61-65-69-71 p.

At the same time, at high 9-10-12-14-15-17 cm knitting. rice. acc. cx. 1. The place where the pattern begins, we need to calculate. from mid. det. self (indicated in the diagram with an arrow). We knit 1-15 rr. according to the sketch, after which with a white thread. we knit another 5 rr.

After this we proceed to the elm. according to cx. 2 from 21st. and calculating the beginning of the pattern from the arrow on the diagram. We knit 21-38 pp. and then 4 r. white yarn

Let's move on to elm. rice. acc. cx. 3 from 43rd r. We need to calculate the place where the pattern begins from the middle of the part ourselves (indicated in the diagram with an arrow). We knit 43-57 r., after which we use white yarn. knit until the end of the work. At the same time, at a height of 44-45-46-47-47-48 cm we need closed. for rolling sleeves on both sides in each. 2nd r. 1 x 4-4-5-5-6-6 p., 1-1-2-2-2-2 x 2 p., 8-9-9-10-11-12 x 1 p. and 1 x 3 stitches. All stitches that will remain on our back need to be cast off. in one go.

Assembly

All knitted parts need to be laid out on the table and thoroughly moistened on the wrong side, and then left to dry. After this, we sew the product at the shoulders. For the collar, along the edge of the neck, we evenly cast on 80-80-84-88-88 stitches with circular knitting needles, including the front neck loops from an additional knitting needle.

We knit in a circle with 18 cm pink yarn with a 1 x 1 elastic band, and then close the loops according to the pattern. All that remains is to sew in the sleeves and sew the side seams. That's all, our sweater is ready!
