A production calendar is a document that contains information on the number of working days, pre-holiday days (with a reduced working day by one hour), weekends and holidays and indicates working time standards monthly, quarterly, for half a year and for the year as a whole at 40, 36 and a 24-hour work week. It is widely used by employees of the accounting service, human resources department when maintaining time sheets, drawing up work schedules, calculating wages and other payments, as well as for personal purposes, for example, when planning a vacation, etc.

According to the production calendar of the Russian Federation for 2016, there are 247 working days in the country (including 2 that precede holidays) and 119 weekends and holidays.

Working hours standards in 2016 are:

  • with a 40-hour working week: 1974 hours (247 * 8 - 2, where 247 is the number of working days in a year, 8 is the length of the working day, 2 is the number of working hours reduced due to holidays);
  • with a 36-hour work week: 1776.4 hours (247 * 7.2 - 2);
  • with a 24-hour work week: 1183.6 hours (247 * 4.8 - 2).

Holidays and shortened days off in 2016

Public holidays of Russia, approved by Art. 112 of the Labor Code of the Russian Federation, are official days off in the country. These include:

  • January 1-6 and 8 - New Year holidays
  • January 7 - Christmas
  • February 23 - Defender of the Fatherland Day
  • March 8 - International Women's Day
  • May 1 - Spring and Labor Day
  • May 9 - Victory Day
  • June 12 - Russia Day
  • November 4 - Day national unity

If Public Holiday falls on a weekend, then the next working day after the holiday is also a day off. The government can make changes to the production calendar, moving non-working holidays and weekends to other dates. Transfers in 2016:

  • from Saturday January 2 to Tuesday May 3;
  • from Sunday January 3 to Monday March 7;
  • from Saturday 20 February to Monday 22 February.

Shortened days are established on the eve of public holidays. Working hours on these dates are reduced by 1 hour.

Pre-holiday days in 2016:

  • February 20th;
  • the 3rd of November.

How we relax. June holidays

Non-working days in June 2016 in Russia are 9 dates of the month: 4, 5, 11, 12, 13, 18, 19, 25 and 26. Russia Day is celebrated on June 12. It is a non-working holiday (Article 112 of the Labor Code of the Russian Federation). Since in 2016 this public holiday falls on a Sunday, the day off is transferred to the next working day (06/13), and Russians receive three consecutive non-working days: from 11 (Saturday) to 13 (Monday).

Working time standards

In accordance with the labor calendar of the Russian Federation, in June 2016 there are 21 working days and 9 weekends and holidays.

Working time standards are:

  • with a 40-hour work week – 168 hours (21 * 8, where 21 is the number of working days, 8 is the duration of the work shift);
  • at 36 hours – 151.2 hours (21 * 7.2);
  • at 24 hours – 100.8 hours (21 * 4.8).

Last month autumn period is always marked by a sharp cold snap and the approach of the most popular holiday in the CIS - the New Year. How do we relax in November? In this month, regular working days include one officially designated holiday - National Unity Day on November 4th, which is officially considered a non-working day. All other rest days are traditional days off in the standard work week.

The name of the month comes from “novem” (Latin) meaning “nine”, which is exactly how it was counted among the ancient Romans.

In Rus', November was called gruden (as in Ukraine it is now December), this word comes from the frozen earth in piles, not yet covered with snow, characteristic of this month.

In addition, the Slavs knew November under the names “brother”, “chicken coop” and “ice”.

! Based on Article 112 Labor Code if a day off coincides with a non-working holiday, a day off postponed to the next working day after the holiday.

The length of the working day or shift immediately preceding a non-working holiday is reduced by one hour.

Since 2013 The Government of the Russian Federation has the right to transfer two days off from the number of days off that coincide with non-working January holidays to other days in the next calendar year.

Article 94 of the Labor Code of the Russian Federation establishes the maximum duration of daily work (shift) for the following persons:

According to Art. 112 of the Labor Code of the Russian Federation, non-working holidays in Russia are the following dates:

If a public holiday falls on a Saturday or Sunday, the day off is transferred to the next working day. In 2016, Spring and Labor Day (May 1) and Russia Day (June 12) fall on Sundays, so the weekend moves to Mondays May 2 and June 13, respectively.

The Government of the Russian Federation has the right to make changes to the production calendar, shift non-working holidays to other dates in order to rationalize the labor process (Article 112 of the Labor Code of the Russian Federation). Pre-holiday days

On the eve of official state holidays, working hours are reduced by 1 hour, the same for both a 40-, 36- and 24-hour five-day working week (Part 1 of Article 95 of the Labor Code of the Russian Federation). If a holiday falls on a Sunday, then the work hours on Friday are not reduced. In 2016, there are 2 pre-holiday days in Russia: February 20, November 3.

Working time standards for 2016 in Russia

The duration of a working day or shift with a 40-hour work week with two days off on Saturday and Sunday is 8 hours, with a 36-hour work week - 7.2 hours, with a 24-hour work week - 4.8 hours, on a pre-holiday day it is reduced by 1 hour .
