The script for the celebration of Shrovetide in primary school compiled for the celebration in general education secondary schools, intended for younger children school age and consists of several parts: performances and outdoor games indoors, walks and outdoor fun.

Purpose of the holiday: to acquaint junior schoolchildren with the history of the celebration of Maslenitsa, to introduce children to the spiritual values of our ancestors.

Holiday objectives:

Educational: to teach to understand and comprehend the traditions of the Russian people, to generalize their knowledge about the celebration of Maslenitsa in Russia, about seasonal changes in nature, the habits of animals in winter and spring; enrich the vocabulary of junior schoolchildren, train the ability to guess riddles, expand knowledge about folk etiquette.
Developing: development of memory, attention, thinking, dexterity, sense of tact and rhythm.
Educational: fostering patriotism based on respect for the way of life, the customs of our ancestors, fostering a sense of community with one's origins.

Guys, do you know what this holiday is? Shrovetide is a cheerful farewell to winter, a joyful meeting of a loved one, spring warmth, renewal of nature. Our ancestors believed that we need to help drive away the evil Winter, and call out the beautiful Spring, lure, “butter up” with treats - pancakes. Hence the name of the holiday "Maslenitsa". And so that Winter will quickly leave, and Spring will appear, we will also have fun, sing, play from the heart, and treat ourselves to sweet pancakes. Guys, what animal sleeps all winter and wakes up in spring? That's right, bear. So, on the Maslenitsa holiday, they took a bear around the fair, entertained the people and small children. And here the bear also came to amuse you, to play the accordion for us. The Maslenitsa holiday lasts a week and each day of the week has its own name.

Buffoon: The first day - "Meeting". The main thing on this day is to greet Maslena with the whole world, prepare for the holiday, bake pancakes and invite guests. Let's call Shrovetide ( children repeat in chorus):

Children are divided into two teams, two stronger boys are chosen, they are given a rope in their hands, they must run around the hall, go back, pick up the second player in the team, make a circle with him, return for the third, etc., until all the players take up rope and will be harnessed to the sled. The winner is the team that comes to their place first and does not lose a single player on the way.

Buffoons: The fifth day - "Mother-in-law's evening". On this day, the young family met the mother-in-law, and treated them to pancakes. A beautiful wheel was rolled along the street, decorated with ribbons, the symbol of the sun - whoever rolls the wheel further will have to wait for a well-fed, fruitful year. And we will also ride the wheel.

Buffoons: Sixth day - "Sister-in-law get-togethers". On this day, the young wife receives her husband's sister. And on this day, they play the game "Taking the Snow Town".

Children are divided into 2 teams on the left and right. Each team is given cloth snowballs that need to be thrown into foreign territory. The team with the fewest snowballs on its side wins.

Buffoons: Seventh day - "Forgiveness Sunday". Forgiveness day they called him, and also farewell, farewell. On this day, everyone, young and old, asked each other for forgiveness. And in the evening they said goodbye to Maslenitsa, took it out of the outskirts, set it on fire. Guys, we all did a good job today, had fun, played, laughed, saw off the fierce winter, and they drove the evil Baba Yaga away, who did not want to let Spring on our land. The dark forces are gone. And now greet Spring, greet with bread and salt.

Buffoon 1: On the same day, they built hills, snow fortresses, and erected snow sculptures.

Buffoon 2: So we decided to hold a competition for the best sculpture! For a whole week our masters (students) were preparing for the competition: they sculpted, cut out, decorated. Finally, the work is finished.

Buffoon 1: We invite you to see what they have done and determine the winners of this difficult competition.

Buffoon 2: Well, we passed the first day safely. We leave for the second day of the holiday, which is rightly called "flirting".

Buffoon 1: On Tuesday they sang ditties and treated the guests with different delicacies.

Competition for the best ditty... If the children do not remember them, then you can print ditties in advance and identify the best performer.

Then the game "Treat" is played. Participants are divided into 2-3 teams, which must take turns to name the treat. Moreover, each team gets "its own taste": sour, bitter, spicy dishes. If a team does not name a dish of the desired taste within 10 seconds, it is eliminated from the game.

Buffoon 2: Have fun and play. Now we go to the third day of the festival - "Lakomka". The sons-in-law came to the mother-in-law's pancakes and treated themselves. Also on this day, competitions were held in strength, courage, dexterity.

Maslenitsa contests are held:

"Throwing a felt boot" - cleansing the Russian land from evil spirits. Those wishing to receive a felt boot, line up along the line. At the signal of the presenter, they throw the felt boot forward, trying to throw it as far as possible. The second, unexpected stage of this competition will be the second throw with the second felt boot. In this case, it is necessary that the second felt boot fell as close as possible to the first.
"Breaking the pot" - protecting the future harvest from evil spirits. On the site, a column is driven into the ground. A saucepan is put on it - a "pot". Participants are blindfolded and given a stick. They take turns trying to reach the post and "break" the pot - to hit the pot with a stick.
Game "Cockfighting". A circle is drawn on the site. Hands are tied behind the backs of two persons who wish and are sent into a circle. The task of each player is to push the enemy out of the circle. To complicate the task, you can invite the participants to be in the circle on only one leg, lifting the other up.

Buffoon 1: Ends Wednesday - begins Thursday. It was on this day that they sang a lot of songs, danced until they dropped, played a lot and played carols.

Buffoon 2: Snow fights and the storming of the snow fortress were an unchanging tradition. Well, we will hold snow contests with you!

Snow contests are held:

"Labyrinth". On a snow-covered area, a labyrinth in the shape of a rectangle is prepared in advance, in which shallow paths are dug with a shovel. It only has two entrances. The task of the participants is to find a way out of the maze.
"Shooting gallery". At a short distance from the guys, a narrow table is installed, on which targets of different sizes are exposed. Those who wish try to hit all objects, making the smallest number of throws.
"Ice slide". The slide should be sufficiently slippery from the side of the slope. There are flags attached to the slide in different places. The task of the participants is to try to get all the flags. At the same time, you can only climb the mountain from the slippery side.

Buffoon 1: On Friday night, the sons-in-law invited their mother-in-law for pancakes. And baking pancakes was oh, how difficult it was for them!

Buffoon 2: After all, it was necessary from the mother-in-law with the father-in-law first to beg for all the products and utensils for baking the main treat!

Buffoon 1: To do this, the sons-in-law sent their friends for this purpose. However, the son-in-law will not be given anything just like that.

Maslenitsa relay races are held:

"Hot potato". Participants use spoons to transfer potatoes from a saucepan to a plate.
"Sledging". Participants lie on their stomachs on the sled. Pins are set at a distance from them. The task of the players is to get to the skittles, go around it and go back, moving the sled with their hands.
"Merry Broom". Skittles of two colors are placed on the court, for example, blue for the first team, and red for the second. Each team has 2 participants, they receive a broom. Sitting “astride” on a broom, the players begin to sweep the clearing, trying to knock down all the pins of their color without touching the opponent’s pins. The team that completes the task faster will win.
"Throwing a broom". Players take turns throwing the broom at range. The player whose broom flew farther earns the team a point. The team with the most points wins.

Buffoon 1: On Saturday, the sisters-in-law - the husband's sisters - were given gifts from their daughters-in-law, a scarecrow was burned, and an ancient ritual of purification by fire was performed: young men jumped over the fire, and ashes fluttered throughout the district.

Buffoon 2: Well, we continue to have fun and play! Before burning a scarecrow, you need to properly warm up in order to be able to resist evil spirits!

The game "Give a handkerchief" is being held. On a separate site, two sticks of different heights are installed. A strong rope is pulled between them, which is located along an inclined one. They write on handkerchiefs female names and use clothespins to hook them to the rope. The male participants jump up to rip off the handkerchief. Then they give it to a girl with the name written on the headscarf.

Buffoon 1: They also loved to watch bear performances in Russia.

they laid tables with delicious food, baked pancakes, and made beer in the villages.

Theaters and stalls appeared everywhere. They sold hot sbitni (drinks made from water, honey and spices), hardened nuts, honey gingerbread. Here, right under the open sky, one could drink tea from a boiling samovar.
