How can you not like a wonderful soft toy who can move and purr! Scientists say that, despite their independence and cunning, pussies have the gift of healing the sick. The old truth says that when cats live in the house, comfort and peace reign in it. Therefore, animals turned into favorites of monarchs, millionaires, stars:

  • By order of Catherine II, the legendary mustachioed detachment protected the Hermitage from rodents for many years;
  • Fold-eared Briton Blackie inherited $13 million;
  • The arrogant Humphrey occupied an important place in the activities of English prime ministers;
  • The Japanese tricolor Tama, dressed in a special uniform, was in charge of the railway station.

  • Red Sloth Garfield;
  • Friendly Leopold;
  • Homely and enterprising Matroskin.

Meet Kitty White!

A charming kitty has conquered the planet. Today in amusement parks and shopping centers Hello Kitty animators work to entertain young visitors. Her face adorns hats, clothes, and handbags. The familiar logo is depicted on children's furniture sets, bedding sets, household appliances, mopeds and airplanes. Thematic coffee shops and restaurants actively welcome guests, and in Taiwan a maternity hospital is named after a famous name. The white cat appeared in post-war Japan; its creator, Shintaro Tsuji, was the owner of a toy company. The man decided that he needed to come up with an image that could brighten up the hard life of his compatriots. After all, in the east there is a tradition of giving each other small gifts, trinkets and souvenirs. The author drew sketches for a long time, wanting to find the ideal hero. At first he wanted to name the character Kitty White after the cat from the fairy tale "Alice in Wonderland", written by Lewis Carroll. But after that I preferred Hello Kitty, which is translated from in English meant: “Hello, pussy!” An ordinary wallet with a cute kitten created a sensation among buyers, and the fame of the new brand spread across continents. Over time, a whole world was invented for Kitty, in which she has a family:

    Papa Jdorj;

  • Mom Mary;
  • Sister - twin Mimi;
  • Grandmother Margaret;
  • Grandfather Anthony.

This October, Alice turned three years old. To the question: “What kind of birthday do you want?”, my girl answered without hesitation: “I want Hello Kitty!”

Since I was lucky enough not to go to work, I had time to prepare the holiday, maybe not a car and a small cart, but quite enough. Although I tried to reach last minute:) And some ideas again remained unfulfilled, but... Still, we managed to please the birthday girl!

The holiday was themed around Hello Kitty. It turns out that she is quite a cute cat. I specially got to know her better through an old Japanese TV series.

The expected guests received the following invitations to their emails. I took the picture from the Internet and added a little of my own in Photoshop. Separately, there was a wish for the color pink in clothes or accessories.
A few days before the holiday, I rushed around the shops in search of streamers, tablecloths, and candles with the image of Kitty. There were everything with a wide variety of themes, but not with Kitty! And when, already in the seventh store, I saw what I needed, I grabbed everything that had a cat on it :)
So, this gift bag caught my eye. I put rubber bands with Kitty in it. It is not yet known what the daughter was more happy about: the paper bag or the rubber bands :)

As a form of entertainment, it was decided to paint all the guests as cats :) I bought special paints. It’s good that we had thin brushes for acrylic painting at home. With the brush included in the set, fine lines You definitely can’t draw it.

The festive make up began with the birthday girl. At first everything was very modest: a yellow nose, like Kitty’s, and a mustache.

And then we got carried away and away we go :)

It turned out not to be Kitty, but a red lynx :) But Alice really liked herself :)

For the holiday I made this frame. The photograph, of course, should have been bigger, but I was too lazy to redo it. While making this cat, I remembered my student skills of transferring graphs onto Whatman paper using plexiglass. Plexiglas has been at the dacha for a long time, it’s good that there are large lids from Ikea boxes in the house :) I know myself, I won’t draw a really big figure. And so: we put a lid on the back of the chair, a table lamp under it, on top of the lid plastic bag with a drawing of Kitty, put whatman paper on it and circle it - enjoy :)

Nice cats turned out after the coloring session :)

Cat family:)

The next item on the program was cake. In three days, I agreed with the nearest pastry shop that they would make me a Kitty cake. At first I was misled by photographs of finished cakes from their album. There were cute cakes covered in fondant and with Kitty figures. During the ordering process, it turned out that these confectioners do not work with mastic. Only cream and chocolate bars. Fuck you, I thought.
She brought along a sketch I developed for the top of the cake. This is exactly how I wanted to see him. I also emailed the file to them, just in case. The receptionist’s simple question alerted me: “What are you worried about, well, Kitty, what’s so complicated about it? White cat, pink bow.” Therefore, I once again emphasized that I wanted the cake to look exactly as I drew. They gave me the go-ahead.

On the appointed day and hour, the husband brought the cake. At first I thought he was joking, telling me not to be upset. But that was not the case... Kitty's left eye, which was drawn on figurative white chocolate, looked slightly blackened. Such a spreading black eye. Apparently, the chocolate began to flow during the painting process. No one bothered to fix this. Well, the inscription was made very clumsily. Feeling steam coming out of my ears, I dialed the number for the bakery. “Milo” talked to the technologist and promised to bring them their creation in five minutes. I took my husband with me. Firstly, the cake is 1.2 kg (they don’t make smaller ones to order), and secondly, someone had to restrain me :)

The technologist immediately agreed that this was a marriage. They took the cake and completely redid the top. But it was impossible to fix everything right away and not spoil people’s mood? It’s a pity that I didn’t take a photo of the first version of the cake as a souvenir. I had no time for that :)

Ta-a-a-d-am! Corrected version of the cake!

Alice approved :)
This is not just a photograph! This photograph is a mystery. Task: find where our godmother hid? :)
