Let's learn how to knit original belts. Crochet belt: diagram and description of a practical and beautiful product Thin crochet belt for a dress

A crochet belt is a crocheted accessory that many knitters prefer to make. When crocheting, you can use different knitting techniques. And this allows you to create models for various purposes: to decorate your wardrobe or replace a regular belt. It is necessary to decide on the purpose of the future product by choosing the size of the hook with which the belt will be crocheted, as well as the type of yarn. The thinner the size of the hook, the more delicate and decorative the accessory will be. With large hooks you can usually knit a belt using beads and other additional elements that will decorate it during the knitting process. Of course, you can use additional elements to decorate the belt during the knitting process when working with a smaller crochet hook, but this is very, very painstaking work. It can be done by experienced craftswomen. For a belt, different techniques of knitting laces and fragments are often used. The latter - fragments are connected to each other in a long strip.

Type of yarn to choose for making a belt

For example, in order to knit narrow cord belts or openwork belts, you can choose any yarn for work. Such belts have a decorative value and are used as decoration for a wide tunic or dress. Naturally, when choosing yarn for such a purpose, you should take into account the color and texture of the yarn. It is necessary to ensure that these parameters match the color and texture of the wardrobe elements. All types of threads are suitable: cotton, linen, viscose, wool, polyamide, microfiber and even acrylic. When using acrylic threads, you should be more careful when choosing a pattern, since products made from such yarn often have a cheap look.

Wide and dense belts are knitted from stiff cotton or linen yarn. More often, such belts are knitted using solid patterns. If the work is done with polyamide or microfiber , then the pattern is chosen very dense. For crocheting dense patterns, regular stitches without Yarn over

Narrow belt

In the above photoa consistent description of the manufacture of the simplest belt is given. To knit such an accessory you need about ten grams of yarn. The threads must be thick, with one skein containing at least two hundred meters per hundred grams of yarn. Even a novice knitter can knit such a belt. Knitting begins with a chain of four air loops. We will abbreviate air loops as “VP”.

Sequence of knitting a pattern for a belt:

  1. In the second loop of the chain we knit five stitches without yarn over (pictured above ). Next column without yarn over will be written as " StBN »
  2. In the last loop of the chain we knit one stitch without yarn over
  3. Rotate the canvas. One VP for row lifting
  4. In the second column without yarn over we knit five stitches without yarn over
  5. In the third sc we knit another sc
  6. We turn the fabric again and repeat knitting in exactly the same way as indicated in steps 4 and 5, turning the fabric each time.

We knit a cord of the required length. Ties are sewn onto the ends of the cord. You can use regular threads, a chain of air loops, or a decorative ribbon as ties. The narrow crochet belt is ready!

Openwork belt made of motifs of different shapes

This type of belt has been popular for a long time. The essence of making this model is to connect several separately connected identical or different fragments together into a ribbon. Such fragments can be square or round in shape. Each craftswoman has her own favorite fragment forms.

The sequence of knitting a pattern for a belt knitted from various fragments:

If the model is planned to be worn on the hips, then it should be knitted with pentagonal motifs. Moreover, they should be connected to each other in such an order that the product turns out to be semicircular in shape.

A selection of belts with photos and diagrams

A belt becomes an indispensable accessory for any item. Knitted belts can complement more than just knitted items. With them you will get a very beautiful look, and the strap can be made for jeans or a summer blouse, a beautiful plain dress. It is important to choose the right colors and additional components of the belt to make it look presentable. A detailed description of how to make crocheted unusual belt patterns is later in this article.

Very often used as the main yarn for a belt. iris threads. But they're better suited for summer and openwork options.

For those, who wants to get a very durable belt, it is better to use a thicker blade. Ideally, everything should be made of pure cotton, since it will not heat up, and such a belt can be used at any time of the year, and will not cause allergic reactions.

In addition to yarn beads are often used, there is a very interesting technique of crocheting with beads. This allows beads or beads to be installed in the threads within the fabric. This work looks very nice. But simple embroidery over the canvas also looks great. The hook is selected after the yarn, and it simply must fit the size of the thread.

Important! Craftsmen very often use hooks with a flat center for fingers; they are easier to hold in your hand and your hands do not get tired from long-term work.

Belt models

They are so attractive that many will start knitting themselves to give beauty to themselves and their loved ones.

Openwork belt for a dress

The original belt with weaves is no more complicated than a regular chain; you just need to make the appropriate connections when knitting subsequent rows.

To work you will need:

  • white iris;
  • hook for iris thread.

Measurements

Measure your waist circumference - this will be a measurement for the length of the product.

Sample

Make several combinations of the main pattern, and determine from the sample how many such elements are needed for the whole product. The width can also be changed. In this model, two rapports are used upward, but you can make three or even 4, so the belt will only be wider.

The basis

Cast on the air chain, and you can start making the main pattern of the fabric. The curves will be the same. Knit the first strip along the length of the waist circumference measurement, and then several repeats in height.

This product is one-piece and does not require a fastener. The pattern stretches well and therefore will be very fitted; if necessary, you can immediately subtract 2 cm from your waist measurement to make it fit tighter at the waist.

For baby dress

Very cute model for a children's dress. You can make it for a fashionista in a different color, for example, pink or lilac.

To work you will need:

  • iris yarn in two shades;
  • hook for iris thickness;
  • wooden beads.

Measurements

Measure the child's waist circumference and use the measurement as the basis of the fabric.

Sample

Knit a small section of the fabric according to the pattern and measure the knitting density for it. Then determine how many rows are needed to complete the whole canvas.

The basis

For the base, take a pattern for the model. Knit the desired size and set the product aside.

Ring

For the ring, cast on 20 chain stitches and knit about 50 single crochets into the ring. This will create an even and tight ring.

Flower

Make two flower parts, the top one less by one row. Next, connect the motifs and sew wooden beads in the center. Additionally, according to the pattern of the last petals, make three ovals, and also sew beads to them. Then knit two strands of rope for a tie with a length of 15 cm. Sew them on one edge of the product.

Assembly

Sew a ring and a flower from the second edge.

You can try on a beautiful new item.

For jeans (trousers)

A very tight belt for jeans made from clothesline.

To work you will need:

  • clothesline of different colors;
  • hook number 5;
  • plaque.

Measurements

Measure your waist circumference and add 1/3 of your waist circumference.

Sample

Using one thread, knit a small square according to the single crochet pattern, and calculate the density of the knitting. Then determine how many sets of loops are required for the length of the product.

The basis

Knit the fabric according to the pattern in different colors for the desired length. Make the border in a contrasting color with simple single crochet stitches, knitting 2 stitches in the corners to create a neat bend of the thread.

Assembly

To assemble, you just need to sew on a plaque and, if desired, embroider holes in the fabric to make it convenient to put on the belt.

For a light knitted sweater

A very beautiful and openwork option will perfectly complement a knitted dress. Suitable for openwork models and denser patterns.

To work you will need:

  • iris yarn;
  • hook according to the thickness of the thread;
  • thick cotton fabric;
  • plaque.

Measurements

Measure your waist circumference and add a third of this measurement.

Sample

Make a small sample of the lace pattern. Compare the measurements and calculate how many repeats are required for the whole product.

The basis

Knit according to the prepared measurements and the provided fabric pattern.

Fabric base

Sew a base for the belt from thick cotton according to the size of the lace strip.

Assembly

Sew lace and cotton. Sew on the plaque and the product is ready, you can iron it through gauze and try it on.

Wide belt

A very fashionable belt that will look good on a plain transparent blouse or translucent dress. Well focuses attention on a thin waist.

To work you will need:

  • black iris;
  • iris hook;
  • matte satin ribbon;
  • two matte black rings.

Measurements

Measure your waist circumference and subtract 15 cm for the tie.

Sample

Make several repeats according to the beautiful openwork pattern provided and calculate the knitting density for them. Next, calculate how much you need to knit for the whole fabric.

The basis

Knit the required number of repeats according to the pattern and put the product aside for now.

Assembly

Sew rings along the edges and insert a satin ribbon. You can try it on, just tie a beautiful bow with a ribbon, and the belt will fit well to the waistline.

Thin belt

A very stylish and simply cute belt with charming flowers can be worn with a skirt.

To work you will need:

  • white iris;
  • flesh-colored iris;

Greetings! It happens that you need to crochet a simple belt for a dress or skirt. In such cases, beginners may find this post useful))

The belt is knitted easily and quickly. It is easy to size and easy to decorate. If you like it, I'll be glad.

For this description, I specially photographed it against a bright background.

In general, the belt came together when I was looking for something suitable with a peplum and a tight skirt. I had to try a dozen different options - factory-made ribbons and straps, knitted and woven belts. In the end, I decided to knit a simple ribbon-belt from “fans”.

Knitting a belt

Dimensions: belt 48 x 3 cm, + laces length 17.5 cm.

Legend:

P (loop),

VP (air loop),

SP (connecting p),

RLS (single crochet),

Hdc (half double crochet) - yarn over, insert the hook into the loop, pull the thread and knit all three threads lying on the hook together.

Sirloin mesh (* 2 P DC, 2 VP *, skip 2 loops of the previous row, repeat * *).

“Fans” - 5 Dcs in one “arch”

What I needed:

  • pekhorka yarn "Successful", 50g/220m, white;
  • hook No. 1.75;
  • buttons with a diameter of 1 cm - 8 pieces;
  • sewing needle and white thread for sewing on buttons.

You can choose other threads/hooks for them and decorate the belt to your taste.

I used mother-of-pearl plastic flower buttons for decoration. Sold in sets of 20 pieces. Flat in shape, i.e. The holes for sewing are located not like on buttons - in the center or on one of the sides, but along the side walls. This is very convenient when sewing. And they lie better, fitting more tightly to the product.

Brief instructions for calculating the size of the belt

The belt consists of a main - wide part adjacent to the product. And a narrow lace that regulates the volume (the length of the circumference).

This means that the cast-on row of loops is intended for the wide part of the belt. Therefore, it is necessary to dial in such a way that the ends of the belt do not meet “butt-to-end”. Otherwise, you will have to tie it not with laces, but with the belt itself (an unsightly thick knot will appear). For the lace, at the end of knitting, the “airs” are selected separately (i.e., they are not included in the cast-on row).

We calculate like this:

1 If you have the opportunity to try it on, take a chain from VP and attach it to your waist/hips (where you plan to wear the belt) so that the size of the belt is 10 centimeters shorter.

2 When knitting to a finished skirt/dress, subtract 10-15 stitches from the total number in the product. Let's say I had 132 loops in my dress on the shelf. Therefore, I cast on 10 less loops, now the belt tightens the dress and is tied with laces.

Description of knitting belt

I dialed a “chain” of 122 VPs. I knit in a spiral.

1 p: VP, 122 P SSN = 122 p. (we do not include the air loop in the count)

2 r: VP, “loin mesh” to the end of the row. Continued along the opposite side of the belt symmetrically. There were 30 arches on each side (60 in total).

I unroll the knitting, i.e. I knit in the opposite direction.

3 p: VP, SP into the jumper between two P SSN prev. row, 1 “fan” in the arch of 2 VPs previous. R*.

She continued in a circle. I finished it with 2 SPs in the side loops, I didn’t cut the thread.

Laces

From the edge where I finished knitting the belt, I made a “chain” of 50 VPs. I knit in the opposite direction (i.e. towards the waistband): VP, 50 hdc. I secured the ends of the thread and cut them off.

I tied a thread from the other edge of the belt and repeated in the same way. The ends of the laces themselves begin to curl slightly into “lamb” shapes))

I marked 8 “fans” from the edge, sewed flower buttons every two “shell fans”. There are the same number of free fans left on the opposite side.

I needed a plain belt. Although, of course, it looks even better made from bright yarn. Having a ready-made description at hand makes it easier to experiment and create. What, in fact, is it prepared for?

I wish you easy loops and a cheerful mood!

Best regards, Saule Vagapova

Knitted accessories are increasingly becoming fashionable because they can be combined with clothes made from almost any material. There are especially many options for crocheting a belt. The patterns and descriptions are sometimes so simple that even a completely inexperienced knitter can handle them. In addition, the time and material costs are quite low, which is undoubtedly a plus when creating this spectacular and elegant yarn product.

Using yarn and a hook, you can knit a huge variety of belt options: narrow and wide, from thick fabric and lace, continuous knitting and from motifs. The main thing is to determine in advance whether the accessory will be worn on the dress or on trousers, choose the appropriate color and quality of yarn so that the future belt harmonizes perfectly with the outfit, complementing or refreshing it.

Ribbon lace

Ribbon lace is a very popular knitting method. You can use it to knit anything you like: a stole, tablecloth, dress, etc. It can also serve as finishing for the finished product. The easiest and fastest way, of course, is to knit belts with ribbon lace, which require very little yarn. But despite this, such a belt will look great on a summer dress or tunic; it can be threaded through the loops of trousers or jeans to add some zest. Let's look at the easiest way to create a narrow belt using the ribbon lace technique.

This product uses fairly dense yarn, but you can choose threads of medium thickness or thin ones. At the same time, the width of the belt itself will also decrease. You will need only 10 g of thread.

To get such a belt, follow this description:

  1. We knit a chain of 4 chain stitches.
  2. We knit 5 single crochets in the second loop of the chain.
  3. In the last loop we make 1 single crochet.
  4. Turn the finished product over to the reverse side and tie 1 loop for lifting.
  5. In the second single crochet we knit 5 of the same stitches.
  6. We knit 1 more single crochet in the third stitch.
  7. We turn the product again.
  8. We continue to knit, repeating the sequence.

Finally, we sew ties to the belt, which can look like just threads or laces and ribbons. If desired, decorate the product with beads or sequins.

You can find many similar knitting options for both narrow and wide belts. The video below shows only a small fraction of the methods for this type of knitting:

Crochet strap

You can crochet not only belts to decorate and complement your look, but also practical products designed to be worn on jeans and trousers to support them. Such straps are made of very stiff and thick threads, so that later when worn, the belt does not stretch or lose its shape, and they must be knitted in a certain way:

  1. A row of single crochets is knitted.
  2. Next, the canvas is turned over to the other side, and another row of single crochets is made, tying the previous one. The result is a fabric made from double single crochets.

These straps are also suitable for skirts made of thick fabric.

Rings on the belt

A belt made of tied rings looks very impressive and original, which will add individuality and creativity to your look. This product will suit almost any outfit. It will perfectly complement your dress or tunic, tight jeans or classic trousers, a formal office shirt or a loose light blouse.

To knit such a belt you will need:

  • 100 g yarn.
  • hook suitable for the selected threads.
  • plastic rings.

Plastic rings can be purchased at a craft store or made yourself. The main thing is that they are dense and do not lose their shape.

Let's consider a method for making rings yourself:

  1. On plastic (the top of a plastic binder works well), using round stencils of the required diameter, draw a circle within a circle. One stencil should be larger, the second smaller, to make rings.
  2. Cut out the required number of circles with scissors.

Then you can start arranging them. To do this, you first need to tie half of the first ring with a single crochet from the center of the ring. You should get about 12 columns.

Having tied half of the circle, we attach the next ring to it and also tie half.

In this way, we collect all the rings to make a chain equal to the size of your waist. After attaching the last ring, you need to tie it entirely in a circle and continue to tie the remaining rings, not forgetting to make connecting loops in the first single crochet of each circle when completing the element.

When the main part of the belt is ready, you can sew braid or ties to it.

The rings can be connected both as shown in the previous photos and using patterned fabric or motifs.

To knit such a belt, you need, in the same way as in the previous master class, tie the first ring halfway with single crochets, then knit a chain of 20 chain loops, tie the next ring and continue knitting in this way until the length of the product is equal to the volume your waist.

You need to knit the final ring entirely and start knitting the pattern you like, connecting all the circles.

If you are planning to knit an original belt that no one else has, we suggest you watch the following videos:

Crocheting a belt, a step-by-step selection of patterns and descriptions of the work that is attached, will be done very quickly. We suggest crocheting a belt with posts of different heights. You can decorate the belt with flowers made from striped fabric in two colors to match the stripes on the knitted belt.

We crochet a stylish belt: diagram and description of work

In order to knit a belt you will need the following materials:

  • Cotton yarn in dark blue, red and white (50 g each);
  • Hook No. 3;
  • Fabric with red and blue stripes (size for each strip is 65 by 65 cm);
  • Safety pins - 2 pcs.

The pattern of this knitting option is carried out according to the principle described below.

First, double crochets are made: in the first row, the double crochet is knitted into the chain stitch of the gacha chain: one double crochet in the fourth chain crochet from the hook; in subsequent rows, the first double crochet must be replaced with three chain crochets.

The diagram shows the knitting of motifs A and B.

Motif A: after the yarn over is completed, insert the hook with a movement away from you between the double crochets of the previous row and grab the leg of the left double crochet from behind, bring it out behind it with a movement toward you, grab the working thread and pull it behind the leg of the double crochet, then pull the double crochet yarn over

Motif B: make a yarn over, insert the hook with a movement towards you and grab the leg of the double crochet in front, bring it out in front of it with a movement away from you, then grab the working thread and pull it in front of the leg of the double crochet, perform a double crochet.

Let's make decorative flowers. From striped fabric you need to cut out two bias tapes 80 cm long and 12 cm wide. Each one needs to be folded in half with the wrong side inward and along the open edges. Using a machine we make easy assembly. Excess fabric along the stitching must be cut off. On the side that is gathered, it is necessary to twist and sew tightly.

We cut out two 0.5 cm circles and fold the edges. We sew decorative pins to the flowers.

This belt will be a great addition to skirts, jeans, and can be worn on a dress.

Let's try to crochet another version of the belt from tied rings

Another very interesting option is to create a belt from tied rings.

To work you will need:

  • Yarn – 100g;
  • Plastic rings for tying;
  • Hook - No. 2.

Let's get to work. We will tie half of the ring with a single crochet, then we will knit a chain of 20 chain stitches as shown in the photo.

We will also tie half of the next ring and again tie a chain of air loops. Thus, we will connect the rings to the required length of the belt. We tie the very last ring entirely, then we knit a chain of 19 single crochets with air loops. It turns out like this blank from rings tied together.

Along the edges of the belt you can attach 4 chains made of 100 air loops; you need it for tying. The end of each chain must be secured with a knot. Now the crocheted belt with rings is ready.

This belt is perfect for knitted or knitted items.

A belt is a very trendy accessory always and everywhere, it is a stylish decoration for things and it is simply impossible to imagine your wardrobe without belts.

At the end of the master class, we offer several interesting videos that present interesting ideas for crocheting belts with detailed descriptions. Try to create new and interesting things with your own hands, which will certainly delight you with their appearance.
