DIY postcard “Autumn Bouquet” with children

The idea for making this postcard was shared by Vera Parfentyeva, a technology teacher and the head of a children’s club. preschool age, a regular reader of my website “Native Path” and a participant in our Internet Workshop of educational games “Through the game - to success!”

An autumn card with a bouquet is suitable for children of any age. This card is easy to make with kids.

To make a postcard you will need:

To work you will need landscape and crepe (corrugated) paper, PVA glue, stamp inks and stamps of different leaves.

The simplest version of an autumn card:

Step 1. Fold the album sheet in half lengthwise and lightly tint the edges of the postcard with stamp paint. You can do this with watercolor paint using watercolor paint and a brush. This is what you get (see photo).

Step 2. Cut out a blank for a vase of the desired shape (from colored paper, from old notebook covers or magazine pages).

Step 3. Glue the desired vase blank to the front of the card. Apply leaves with stamps on top of the card, choosing colors to match the color of autumn. Ready postcard we sign and give it together with the child.

A more complex version of an autumn card - a postcard with a voluminous bouquet

But you can make it a little more complicated: do voluminous autumn card with a bouquet. To do this, the leaves need to be stamped on the card not directly above the vase, but leave a small gap empty.

Next, you need to tear pieces of different colors from crepe (corrugated) paper and crumple them into lumps. Your baby will be happy to do this, and such an activity will also be useful for development. fine motor skills children. The task is accessible even to the smallest children, if an adult shows them how to correctly tear off a small piece of paper and crumple it between their palms or between their fingers into a ball.

Glue the prepared lumps onto the empty space between the stamped leaves.

The result will be a voluminous autumn card. The same as in the photo below.

This is what the voluminous flowers look like on this card:

Creative tasks for children (how you can vary the design of this postcard):

DIY postcard “Autumn tree” with children

With the youngest children you can also make a very simple but effective autumn card using the cut-out appliqué technique. This is a card with an autumn tree on the cover.

What kind of technique is this and how to make a postcard “Autumn Tree” - you will find out in the video

Useful tips from the experience of making postcards with preschool children:

If you make this card with very young children- then keep in mind that they cannot concentrate on one thing for a long time, so the best option There will be joint creativity. It is better to organize it like this: You draw a tree trunk and roots in advance, examine the autumn tree with your child and find what is missing (leaves). Next, the child, by tearing off pieces of colored paper, “prepares” the leaves, which you glue onto the postcard yourself (the child’s presence during the entire gluing process is not necessary, since gluing small pieces onto a postcard is a very long and monotonous task).

If you are making this card with a child five years old or older. For older preschoolers, on the contrary, such an activity will be useful and will develop in children determination, perseverance and the ability to complete the work they have started.

Autumn card using monotype technique

The cover for a postcard can also be made using an unusual technique called “monotype”. This technique of drawing a postcard cover will be interesting for both kids, schoolchildren and adults.

The peculiarity of this technique of making a postcard cover is that first a colored shape is drawn on paper, then its imprint is made on the cover of the postcard. And then the image is supplemented - it is completed with lines until the picture is given a finished look.
The monotype technique is often used in pedagogy to develop children's imagination.

Happy child 17.08.2017

Dear readers, how could we not know how much children love to receive gifts. But it is no less joyful for them to give these gifts to their closest and dearest people. Especially valuable are those that the child made with his own hands. Such things are kept in family archives and albums for many years.

Postcard with autumn theme This applies exactly to such gifts. It can be given either to a teacher on the first of September or to a birthday person whose birthday falls in the fall. How to make such a postcard in interesting technology monotype, artist Anna Pavlovskikh will tell us today. I give her the floor.

Greetings to all readers. Today I want to tell you in detail about how to make an unusual postcard for the autumn holiday with your own hands. We will do it together with the children.

The monotype technique in which we will work is very popular with children. This is a unique paint imprinting technique that even a preschool child can master. When doing work using this technique, you need to apply paint to a flat surface and print it on a sheet of paper. The result is a print with extraordinary patterns and textures.

Children are very excited about the process of printing on paper and looking at the resulting patterns. Painting using this technique develops imagination and spatial perception at the guys. Monotype also calms and arouses their interest, since the result does not take long to arrive. You just need to press a sheet of paper to the surface with paint, and in a few seconds the wonderful picture is ready.

Now let's take a closer look at how to make an autumn card using this technique. I have prepared for you detailed master class with step-by-step photographs.

What you need for a postcard

  • Thick A3 paper;
  • gouache paints in yellow, red, orange, burgundy, brown and ocher colors;
  • a simple pencil;
  • ruler;
  • scissors;
  • cutter;
  • tassels;
  • a jar of water;
  • glue stick;
  • glitter in tubes of red and gold colors;
  • glue gun;
  • yellow and red plastic half beads;
  • fresh leaves.

How to make a postcard

Divide A3 paper in half to make two landscape-size sheets. Fold one of them in half - this will be the base of your postcard. Cut the second sheet in half to make two A5 sheets.

Take one of two A5 sheets. It will be the background of the postcard.

In order to create it, you will need another thick sheet of paper on which we will apply paint. For the background, use light shades: yellow, ocher, orange. Apply your chosen colors to the paper. A child can do this himself - give him freedom of creativity, accuracy is not important here, expression is much more important.

Now print this piece of paper with paint together with your child on a prepared sheet of thick paper. You can repeat these steps several times, adding paint. The result should be a beautiful decorative background for your card.

On the second thick sheet, invite the child to print paint from living leaves in the same way. To do this, you need to use more saturated colors - burgundy, red, brown. It is very difficult to tear children away from this process. It is quite possible that you will have to get more than one sheet of paper - this activity is so exciting.

While the children are busy stamping leaves and looking at the resulting textures and veins, you will start preparing the base for the card. In a sheet folded in half, cut out a frame on the first page, making an indent of 2 cm on the sides, 3 cm from the top edge and 5 cm from the bottom edge.

Using a glue stick, glue the textured background into the resulting frame.

Cut out the printed leaves along the outline of the child. Cover the leaves with red and gold glitter.

Ask your child to stamp his fingers with red paint along the outline of the frame with the background.

Glue a red half bead onto each print using a glue gun. Glue yellow half-beads in between them. You need to glue the resulting leaves onto the yellow background, forming a flower.

When gluing a flower, it is better to use a glue gun, since there is a sufficient amount of glue between the petals, which gives our card an additional 2D effect. Glue several half beads into the middle of the flower.
