Beautiful women's footprints with knitting needles. Traces on two knitting needles without a seam: a simple method for beginners. How to knit tracks on two knitting needles without a seam: diagram and description of knitting

IN winter time years, many women start doing this interesting activity like knitting. To protect themselves from the effects of cold weather, they make various scarves, sweaters, vests and even footwear.

Footprints are simply an irreplaceable thing in cold weather, since you can move around the house in them without worrying about your feet freezing, and besides, they act as a pretty original gift. Knitting slips will not be difficult even for beginner knitters; you just need to familiarize yourself with a few master classes.

Selection of materials

When choosing threads for knitting leotards, it is recommended to choose a material containing wool. There is a group of threads that are 100% wool, but they are quite expensive and purchasing such material for trails would not be entirely logical.

If knitting leopards is done in the autumn or spring time, then it is recommended to opt for cotton threads, since it will not be so hot to walk in socks made of such material.

It is possible to knit leopards on two or four needles, their sizes should be small, ideal options would be No. 2.5 and No. 3.

Knitting with two knitting needles

When knitting leopards on two knitting needles, the sizes of which will be 37-38, it is recommended to opt for wool blend or synthetic threads of medium thickness. Take a pair of needles No. 3. You can use threads of the same color or combine several shades.

  • 30 loops are cast on the knitting needle;
  • the first row is knitted using only knit stitches;
  • the second row is knitted using only purl loops;
  • the presented actions are repeated up to 14-16 rows;
  • We begin to form the heel.

Footprints for children without seam

There are many in various ways knitting leopards with knitting needles, but in the case of a child, the most relevant would be to use a seamless knitting method.

In this case, you need to follow this plan:

Natural threads are selected, knitting needles of size No. 3 or No. 4 are taken. 36 loops are cast on, during the work they are divided into three parts: 12 loops are knitted, 1 purl, 10 knit, 1 purl, 12 knit. Thus, about 14-15 centimeters are knitted.

Another 10 centimeters of work is knitted with an elastic pattern - 1 front loop alternates with 1 purl.

The number of loops is reduced by half. To do this, on the front side of the pattern, two loops are knitted as one, the purl row is knitted in the same way as it was knitted. The steps are repeated again, after which the thread is tightened in the loop.

Using the remaining threads, you need to tighten the trace; in this case, it is recommended to use a hook.

If the knitter has a sufficient level of skill, then when creating footprints you can use absolutely different patterns: braids, alternating several patterns.

Creating seamless tracks with bumps

In this case, to create the marks you will need threads consisting of 49% wool and 51% acrylic. You need to select them on the basis that 100 grams of skein contains 240 meters of thread.

Regarding the knitting needles, here you should give preference to those on fishing line, No. 3.5 or No. 4. In addition, you will need 4 pieces of sock knitting needles and an additional knitting needle for knitting braids. To carry out tying, you should stock up on a hook.

Knitting should start from the heel. Initially, 12 loops are cast on two knitting needles, after which the formation of the pattern begins (alternately 1 knit stitch, and then 1 purl loop). Thus, 22 rows are knitted. After this, using a toe knitting needle, you need to knit another row.

Further actions must be performed strictly following the description in the video.

Before you start knitting the presented socks, you need to study in detail on the Internet various photos knitted leopards, having selected the option you like best, you can begin to familiarize yourself with the knitting pattern.

At this stage of time, there are numerous videos on the Internet where the knitting process is presented step by step, so even a novice knitter can easily create her first stitches.

Photo of the process of knitting footwear with knitting needles

Materials: yarn 50% wool, 50% acrylic, 250 m / 100 g; Yarn consumption: 50 g; Tools: knitting needles No. 3, markers, knitting needle; Knitting density in stockinette stitch: horizontally Pg = 2.2 loops in 1 cm, vertically Pv = 3 rows in 1 cm; Size: 37(24).

Comfortable and practical footprints are knitted on two needles without a seam. This is the simplest, most basic model. Having mastered the knitting pattern for such footwear, you will be able to create your own designs using different patterns. The heels are very practical: the heel is knitted last; if it gets worn out, it can be easily unraveled and re-knitted.

Loop calculation

Number of loops, which needs to be cast on the knitting needles, is equal to , multiplied by and divided by 2, because first we knit half of the trail: 23 x 2.2 / 2 = 25.3 ≈ 25 loops.

Upper part of the track to toe is equal to the foot length minus the foot circumference divided by 2.

Foot length - Foot circumference / 2 = 24 - (23/2) = 24 - 11.5 = 12.5 cm.

To determine the number of rows, the resulting value must be multiplied by the vertical knitting density (PV): 12.5 x 3 = 37.5 ≈ 38 rows.

You can see the measurements depending on shoe sizes and age (for children) in the table: adult sizes, children's sizes.

Progress

Cast on 25 stitches and knit a 2.5 cm placket (10 rows) in garter stitch. We decorate the edge loops with a pigtail.

We begin decreasing the stitches on the toe. We mentally divide 25 loops into 3 parts. If there is 1 loop left, add it to the central part, if 2 - to the side parts. In my case, I get 9 loops for the central part and 8 loops for the side parts. To form the toe shape, decrease stitches at the end of each row, knitting 2 stitches together before the edge stitch. In the front rows we knit, in the purl rows we knit 2 loops together with a purl loop. We decrease the loops until only 9 loops of the central part remain on the knitting needle.

The placket is knitted, the upper part of the footprint is crocheted and the loops on the toe are reduced

We turn the work to the wrong side and knit the first loop purl. Tighten the loop tightly.

We knit the first loop on the wrong side purl

On the wrong side we knit the edge loop purlwise.

There is an edge loop on the left needle

We turn the work to the front side and knit the first loop on the front side.

We knit the first loop on the front side

So we continue to add loops until the estimated number of loops on the knitting needle (25).

Having tied it to the bar (there are 5 per bar) edge loops), we begin to knit the heel. We knit two rows without decreasing or increasing, then we begin to decrease the loops in the same way as on the toe, until there are 9 loops left on the knitting needle.

The last edge loop of the strap is marked with a marker

Then we add loops in the same way as on the toe until the estimated number of loops reaches (25).

Heel tied

We continue to raise the loops from the edge loops, but to ensure that the number of loops remains calculated, we will cut the loops, as before, at the end of each row.

We knit the corner loop (next after the last edge loop of the bar) on both walls so that the hole in the corner does not become too large.

Corner loop on the left needle

We knit the placket, just like on the upper part of the footprint, in garter stitch. We shorten the loops by knitting 2 loops together at the end of each row.

Chapter: ,

These footprints are simple to make (they are knitted very quickly on two needles and without seams), but they look quite elegant on the leg. Try it, you won't regret it. As for me, I’ve already “concocted” six pairs and I’m not going to stop there: there will be gifts for all my favorite women for the spring holiday.

By the way, the footprints traditionally require very little yarn, so I successfully used the leftovers.

The cast-on row should not be too tight and should have enough elasticity (I used my favorite cross edge). The number of stitches cast on will depend on the type of thread, number of knitting needles and, of course, the size of the foot. Try to figure it out for yourself, based on my experience:

From yarn "YarnArt" "CrazyColor" (100 g / 260 m), knitting needles No. 2.5, cast on 49 loops - the results are size 36. This pair of footwear weighs only 35 grams!

It’s strange, but from thicker yarn from Pekhorka “Merino” (100 g / 200 m), the same knitting needles and the same number of stitches, small traces of size 35 were obtained. It took 55 grams of yarn.

YarnArt “Merino de Luxe” yarn (100 g / 280 m), knitting needles No. 2.5, cast on 55 loops - size 37.

Yarn “Volzhanka” (100 g / 220 m), knitting needles No. 3, 53 loops - size 38, 45 grams needed.

Yarn “Linate Kemer” (100 g / 214 m, 100% acrylic), knitting needles No. 2.5, 59 loops - size 39-40 (60 grams).

In MK I will use data on the tracks associated with Volzhanka Green colour, the sole of which is made of black yarn:

So, we cast on 53 loops (edge loops are included in this number and further in the text will also be included in the number of elastic loops). We knit four rows in garter stitch.

Row 5 (front). We mark (either with a marker or mentally) the middle loop. We knit the first 25 loops with any elastic band from knit and purl stitches: at least 1*1, at least 2*2, I liked the 3*1 elastic band (3 knit, 1 purl). It is important that the 25th stitch is a knit stitch, so after the edge stitch, first knit 1 purl stitch, and then 3 knit stitches, etc.

Row 6 and ALL purl rows: the rib is knitted as usual, the remaining loops and yarn overs are purl.

7th row: 25 elastic loops, 1 N, 3 LP, 1 N, 1 LSP, 1 N, 3 LP, 1 N, 25 elastic loops.

Row 9: 25 rib loops, 1 N, 5 rib, 1 N, 1 lsp, 1 N, 5 rib, 1 N, 25 rib loops.

11th row: 25 elastic loops, 1 N, 7 LP, 1 N, 1 LSP, 1 N, 7 LP, 1 N, 25 elastic loops. So is it clear? In each row, due to the yarn overs, the number of loops between the first and second and between the third and fourth yarn overs increases. And between the second and third - 1 front middle loop remains unchanged. As a result, the canvas will begin to take on the appearance of a corner:

We knit in this way until the number of loops between the first and second (and the 3rd and 4th, of course) yarn overs reaches 19 pieces. In the middle, the canvas folds strongly, this is correct, since we have already formed a clear angle, it is especially clearly visible in the middle of the row:

And again we knit 4 rows in garter stitch, without any increases. Cut the thread.

Take a free knitting needle and slip stitches onto it, without knitting, until the middle 9 loops remain on the left knitting needle:

We knit 8 knit stitches with a contrasting (black) thread, and knit the 9th and 10th knit stitches together behind the front walls, like this:

1 - thread from a ball

2 - two loops knitted together

3 - middle front loop

Let's turn the work around. The first and 7 more loops - front, 9th (black) and 10th (green) - front behind the back walls. And again we turn the work around. So, is the principle clear? We knit 8 knit stitches, and knit the 9th and 10th (previously remaining on the knitting needle) knit stitches together, and in the front rows behind the front walls, in the back rows - behind the back ones. And literally after a few rows we will see the very tip/toe of our trail!

And after knitting 30 rows, you can already try on the toe on your foot and admire its openwork pattern. Top view (the third spoke is again added for clarity only):

Bottom view:

So we continue.

Well, are there only 9 middle black loops left and 1 green loop? The sole is ready:

We begin to perform the heel. We have just knitted the front row. We assemble the front loops from the edge loops, catching them on both walls. You can knit, but it’s more convenient to crochet without a handle:

We transfer the loops from the hook to the knitting needle and turn the work. We knit the cast-on loops purlwise, the central 8 loops are knitted, and the 9th black and last green loop are again knitted together knitwise behind the back walls.

We slip the loops onto the knitting needle and, turning the work, knit the cast-on loops. Having reached the middle 9 loops, we continue knitting as we knitted the sole. Here you can change the pattern: knit not with garter stitch, but with the same “elastic” that was in the beginning. This will be especially good if you knit the track from one color of thread, without adding contrasting yarn. Half heel:

Optional addition (that is, you don’t have to do it): are there three loops left on the knitting needles, except for the middle 9? Then it’s time to decrease two loops so that the top of the heel is narrower (knit two loops together 2 times):

Well, having knitted it to the top, you can close the loops:

Close it tightly by simply pulling one loop through the other.

Ready! The second track is knitted in exactly the same way.

Decorations in the form of pompoms, crocheted flowers, beads, bows are not prohibited...

P.S. Did you tie your shoes and were upset because they turned out to be too small/too big? This can be easily fixed! If they are too big and slip off the heel, you need to crochet them along the top edge, pulling it slightly. Or sew on a knitted strap and button, like on shoes. If they are small and difficult to fit on the foot, we will loosen the heel and knit several rows in the place where we crocheted the loops, and only then we will make the heel. I wish you good luck and will be glad if you post a photo of your tracks!

Addition: Here is a diagram of the fifth row. It shows that the middle loop is the 27th. We do not count the yarn overs in the fifth row as loops; in the purl of the sixth row they will be knitted purl and in the seventh row they will already be considered full loops. That is why the distance between yarn overs (1st and 2nd, 3rd and 4th) will increase. And the middle loop will always remain in its middle place, but in the 7th row it will not be the 27th, but the 29th, and so on.

The tracks are knitted using leftover yarn. You should knit from heel to heel. Use the short row method: cast on 25 stitches, garter stitch.

Here is a short description of how to knit. You should end up with similar footed slippers as in the photo.

Rows 1 and 2 - knit 25 stitches in black.
Rows 3 and 4 - use red for 20 stitches.
Rows 5 and 6 - use black for 25 stitches.
Rows 7 and 8 - knit 15 stitches in red.
Rows 9 and 10 - knit 25 stitches in black.
11th and 12th row - again red color 10 loops.
Rows 13 and 14 - use black for 25 stitches.
15th and 16th row - knit 15 loops in red.
and so on... after which the product is stitched.

Girls, thank you all for the additional master classes that you shared in the comments! They perfectly complemented the trail guide. Thank you for your help! So after reading these lines, scroll down the page to the discussion.

Video instructions on the tracks from Liliya Ulanova

Lilia, a craftswoman I respect, shares her knowledge of knitting simple slips on 4 knitting needles. Take a look and all your questions will be resolved.

Here's another option for trails.

Size 39-40, “Peruvian alpaca” thread from the Pehorskaya factory (50g - 150m), it took one and a half skeins, knitted in two threads, added a synthetic “Sock Additive” to the sole, knitting needles No. 3.

Cast on 51 stitches. In the first row, distribute the loops as follows:

1 chrome, 23p. elastic band 1x1, yarn over, knit 1, yarn over, knit 1, yarn over, knit 1, yarn over, 23p. elastic band 1x1, 1 chrome.

    2nd row: 1 chrome, 23p. elastic band, purl 7, 23p. elastic band, 1 chrome.

3rd row: 1 chrome, 23p. elastic band, yarn over, knit 3, yarn over, knit 1, yarn over, knit 3, yarn over, 23 p. elastic band, 1 chrome.

    4th row: 1 chrome, 23p. elastic band, purl 11, 23p. elastic band, 1 chrome.

5 row: 1 chrome, 23p. elastic band, yarn over, knit 5, yarn over, knit 1, yarn over, knit 5, yarn over, 23 p. elastic band, 1 chrome.

    6th row: 1 chrome, 23p. elastic band, purl 15, 23p. elastic band, 1 chrome.

7th row: 1 chrome, 23p. elastic band, yarn over, knit 7, yarn over, knit 1, yarn over, knit 7, yarn over, 23 p. elastic band, 1 chrome.

    8th row: 1 chrome, 23p. elastic band, purl 19, 23p. elastic band, 1 chrome.

Continue this way until the next purl row succeeds:

    1 chrome, 23p. elastic band, 47 purl, 23 p. elastic band, 1 chrome.

After this, knit one row of all loops, purl, second row of all knits. Next comes the sole, here you can add synth. thread. The sole is knitted on the middle 13 loops according to the principle of knitting the heel in ordinary socks. That is, knit:

1 chrome, 40 purl, 12 knits, 2 stitches together. Turn knitting.

1 chrome, 11 knits, 2 loops together. Turn knitting.

1 chrome, 11 purl, 2 loops together purl. Turn knitting.

Then knit these 13 loops with a 1x1 elastic band, picking up 1 side outer loop at the end of each row and knitting it together with the last loop of the row (in the front rows - front, in purl rows - purl). When all the side loops are knitted, the trail is finished. Next you can crochet the upper part of the trail. Knit the second track in the same way.

To decrease or increase the size, you can change the number of loops in certain places, for example, for sizes 36-38, cast on 21 loops for the elastic instead of 23. And knit until there are 21 loops at the base of the triangles. Accordingly, for sizes 42-44, cast on 27 loops and knit until the triangles also have 27 loops, and knit the sole not on 13 middle loops, but on 15.

Here's another master class on footprints
    We cast on 40 loops.
    1st row: k1, p1.
2nd row: knit 18 loops according to the pattern, yo, k1, yo, 2 knits (these will be the central loops), yo, 1 knit, yo, 1 knit, then to the end according to the pattern.

3rd row: according to the drawing (all yarn overs and what is between them - purl).
    This is what happened.
Here the central 2 loops are clearly visible. We will use them as a guide when yarning over

In the center, the yarn overs will be before and after the 2 center ones.

This is how it should look from the wrong side

    We continue knitting

We knit until we get 10 yarn overs.

We knitted 6 rows with knit stitches, but the 6th row only reached the middle.

We knit 5 loops, but the 5th and 6th together.
    Then we unroll the knitting.

5 more knit stitches, but the 5th and 6th stitches together.

This is how a sock should close
