Beautiful DIY beaded brooches: a step-by-step description and reviews. A beaded brooch Cat - master classes Required materials and tools

You can easily create such a wonderful brooch with a cat with your own hands. Brooches are made of felt (two layers of felt are cut, one is embroidered, then glued to the second) with satin stitch embroidery elements: shadow embroidery and convex satin stitch.
To create a brooch with a kitty you will need:

  • felt,
  • embroidery threads - woolen yarn,
  • a needle with a wide eye,
  • artificial eyes,
  • brooch clasp,
  • beads and beads - for decoration, if desired,
  • hot glue gun,
  • kitty template (you can use any picture below, circle along the contour).

How to embroider with shadow stitch

The shadow surface is a series of stitches different lengths that overlap to varying degrees to create subtle color nuances. The shadow surface is one of the options for the artistic surface, only in it horizontal rows of stitches of the same length are performed, evenly, while in each bottom row, to create a subtle shading transition, the stitches slightly capture the row of the upper stitches.

When sewing with satin stitch, work from right to left. Start at point A and bring the needle to point B (the edge of the motif). Then, through point C, draw the needle to point D. Continue working on the first row until you finish it (see the picture above).

For the next row of stitches, insert a needle between and slightly above the bottom of the two superposed stitches of the previous row. Try to keep the stitches as straight as possible.

DIY bead brooches, master class

Do not assume that beading is purely female hobby... Some representatives strong half of humanity were able to find themselves in this exciting activity, creating unique products. According to male craftsmen, weaving beaded jewelry is not only an exciting but also a profitable hobby. On the original jewelry, be it a necklace, bracelet or brooch, there is always a buyer.

If you are ready, then we will start learning and consider how to make a beaded brooch with your own hands and to your liking.

Required materials and tools

Before you learn how to master the creation of a brooch with your own hands from beads and get started, you will need to prepare some materials and tools:

  • dense fabric;
  • cardboard;
  • a piece of leather for lining;
  • glue "Moment" or any other analogue, at your discretion;
  • cabochon - semi-precious stone, round or oval;
  • beads, size 7 and 11 - three colors;
  • needle and thread;
  • scissors;
  • pins;
  • pencil.

All of the above items you will need in the process of creating a brooch. You can make an original accessory from beads with your own hands, for example, a brooch for evening dress... It all depends on your vision of the end result.

Braiding cabochon

We make brooches with our own hands from beads using a simple technique:

First row:

Take a piece of fabric and glue the cabochon.

Then take the beads, the largest, and sew two beads near the cabochon with a needle-forward stitch.

Pass again with a needle and thread through the beads and then add two more.
You should have four beads sewn onto the fabric.

Then go through the last three with a needle and thread and attach two more. Needle again through the last three beads and add two again.

Continue this until you return to the beginning of the row.
Around the cabochon should be a "ring".

In order for it to lie flat, go through all the beads with a needle and thread several times.

Second row:

For the second row, use small beads. This row is embroidered inside the first one to strengthen the cabochon.

Beads are sewn in the same way as in the first row.

After the line is complete, pass through all the beads of the new row with a needle and thread a couple of times.

Third row:

Let's start weaving the third row.

It is located outside the first row. You need to embroider it with the same beads as in the second line.

The weaving technique remains the same.

Attaching the brooch to the base

To secure the brooch, follow these steps:

Brooch decoration

You should have a wonderful beaded brooch. For novice craftsmen, it will not be difficult to make such a decoration with their own hands. The product can be presented to loved ones as original gift.

Stylish brooch - "lips"

You can make an original brooch in the form of lips from beads with your own hands. So, you need:

  • pieces of red felt;
  • strong threads - white and red, matching the color of the beads;
  • monofilament - 15 millimeters;
  • beads red and white;
  • scissors;
  • transparent glue;
  • natural or artificial leather;
  • ball pen;
  • any non-woven material (spunbond or non-woven);
  • beading needle;
  • a piece of cardboard;
  • base for a brooch.

We draw and sew "lips" from beads

Learn to make brooches with our own hands from beads. So let's get started:

Embroider "teeth" with white beads. Cut along the outline near the edge, but so as not to damage the threads.

If you have little experience, then it is better to leave a place with a margin. Then turn the brooch over and trim the remaining edge on the seamy side.

In the process, you should not experiment at first. Use the material from the above lesson: DIY bead brooches. The weaving patterns presented in the article will help you understand in detail some of the intricacies of the work.

  • When trying on leather, draw dashes where your base will fit into the leatherette. If it does not fit well, then it can be cut a little. Make the slits as small as possible so that the base does not show through. Use a good leatherette that stretches easily and restores its shape.
  • Use the glue carefully, the entire surface should be covered with a thin layer of glue. Smooth with your fingers, expelling excess. Trim around, leaving 1 to 2 millimeters to cover the thickness of the felt.

Conclusion

Most people, both women and men, enjoy beading. For some, this hobby brings some profit.

By acquiring certain skills and learning how to work with beads, you will be able to make not only brooches, but also other jewelry. By the way, a brooch may not only consist of beads. With a good skill, you can combine several of your favorite handicrafts in one job. The main thing is that the hobby brings pleasure and joy to you and those around you.

Brooch from beads "kitten Kenny"

For work we need:
- beads black and white (I have number 12) from small beads will turn out more neatly and it will be easier to fill in the gaps;
- beads are red or just a little bit of any color (I have # 10);
- two pieces black skin or like mine - leatherette;
- a picture of the kitten itself, cut out of paper;
- a small base for a brooch (I have 3 cm);
- black threads 33LL and a beading needle;
- a small piece of non-woven fabric in 6 layers (it is not in the photo).

Progress:

1. Put the paper cat on a piece of leatherette and circle it with a regular ballpoint pen. No felt-tip pens will help here, nothing will be visible. The pen, if anything, can be easily erased with your fingers. By the way, sometimes update what you have drawn. while working, you can accidentally erase the drawing with your fingers.
The cat can be swept with a few stitches so that it does not crawl while you trace it.

2. Draw the details inside the silhouette of the cat - eyes, ears, paws.

3. Now take a needle and thread, do not tie a knot. We pierce the leatherette from the inside to the front side. We collect one black bead. We pierce the leatherette from the front side at a distance of the thickness of this bead.

4. We pierce the leatherette from the inside out to the front side, stepping back to the right of the already sewn bead at a distance of the thickness of another bead. Like this:

5. We collect one black bead. We enter with a needle from right to left into the already sewn bead.

6. We pierce the leatherette with a needle from the front side immediately after the first bead, without any indents.

7. Next, we again pierce the leatherette from the inside out onto the face to the right of the second bead at a distance of the thickness of the bead. We collect one black bead. We pass with a needle from right to left into the second sewn bead. The first one is not necessary.

8. We pierce the leatherette from the front side between the first and second beads.

9. Further, in the same way we embroider the whole cat along the contour. We pass along the contour with a thread several times to align the beads.

here I have already sewn on the red beads of the collar.
10. Next, embroider the middle of the ears with white beads in the same way as the outline of the cat.

11. We also embroider eyes and paws. I made the pupil near the peephole from one black bead, the nose from one red bead.

12. Fill the body of the cat with black beads. Here you no longer need to go through the previous bead with a needle, just randomly sew each bead separately, trying not to leave large gaps.

13. In the same way, fill the “insides” of the ears and head with black beads.

14. When everything has been embroidered, carefully, so as not to touch the threads, we cut the cat along the contour. Please note that I left the mustache thread, leading it out of the contour beads. I did this in order not to fix a new thread later, because the mustache is done last, and the wrong side will already be hidden.

15. Now I carefully coat the wrong side with PVA glue. It may not be necessary, but I am paranoid and I am afraid all the time that the strings will open. Therefore, just in case, I fix them with glue. Just do not overdo it with glue, otherwise it will come out on the front side and stain the beads.

16. Next we need to fix the base for the brooch. I found this wonderful way in the book by Anna Bystrik "Embroidered cabochon frames". Take a piece of non-woven fabric in 6 layers. The color is not important to us, it will not be visible. We attach our cat to it and outline its head.

17. It turns out a kind of oval. Stepping back 1.5-2 mm. draw another one inside this oval.

18. Exactly in the center, apply the base for the brooch and mark its position.

19. Before sewing on the base, attach it to the second piece of leatherette and mark the position of its ends. Then we carefully make two small holes, then to pull this piece of leatherette on a pin.

20. Now we tie a knot on the thread and firmly sew the base to the non-woven fabric exactly in the marked places. Cut out along the inner oval.

21. Next, we need to glue this non-woven fabric with the base for the brooch to the cat. I glued it with Moment Crystal glue. It can not be kept under pressure for a long time, the strength is of decisive importance, not the duration of the pressure. Moreover, it is quite problematic to put our cat under the press with a pin. Anna in her book advises to press with clothespins, placing a soft cloth so that there are no traces left. But I didn’t find any clothespins at home, so I just pressed the non-woven fabric with my fingers to the cat for a while.

Wonderful brooches with the image of cats can be made by hand with some beads on hand. A brooch made of will be an excellent accessory, or decoration for a backpack, bag, phone case, etc. A brooch is always at the peak of popularity, and beaded brooches are a cool activity for the soul. Schemes and a master class are attached.

Original embroidered brooches from beads, suitable for beginner needlewomen, and for those who have already worked with beads. The master class is not difficult, it just requires perseverance. Such a beaded brooch with your own hands, especially since there are several of them here - you can make a gift, or for. Such mk is suitable for beginners - it is not too difficult. All cats have a bead nose.

For work you will need:

  1. Black felt, 7cm * 8cm, thin white - 5 * 5cm. (If there is no felt, use a thick black fabric).
  2. Black leather, or leatherette - 7 * 8 cm.
  3. Brooch pin, or a simple safety pin.
  4. Threads - synthetics - are the strongest and thinnest.
  5. Beading needles number 12.
  6. A piece of thin cardboard.
  7. Clay Moment.
  8. Scissors.

Beads: round opaque black number 15, transparent green. Czech small opaque white number 15, ceramic green, black glass beads, metallic color glass beads, 0.5 iris glass beads, 4 mm faceted bead.

How to make a brooch is very simple! We use the scheme, transfer it to paper, cut it along the contour. Transfer the drawing to black felt using crayon or soap. We take the diagram, and cut off the head in order to make 2 patterns for convenience. Next, we cut out the white parts of the picture on the head.

We put the clipping on the white felt, make a pattern for the white part of the cat's face. We sew 3 patterns - this is how we. Another part of the same must be cut out of cardboard (this will be the base of the brooch). Next, we take black opaque beads, and we sew our made copy of the brooch along the edge (from the front side, from left to right) so-called. "In the American way."

Photo: "American" way of finishing the edge.

Basically, we give the soft felt a wireframe, and stitch together the edges of the overlaid patterns. Further, with the same beads we go through the sheathing, so the 1st row of the sheathing became the 1st row inside the contour. Sew on a bead instead of the nose, embroider the mouth with iris bugles, and sew the muzzle around the nose and mouth with white beads.

How to embroider further? The most difficult part remains. We embroider eyes. First, we embroider the pupil of the eye with black matte beads, then fill in the space around it. Place transparent green green beads closer to the pupil, and ceramic green beads farther away. We trim the eye contour with black, sew the bridge of the nose with black bugles. We embroider the ears last, with matte green beads.

Drawing - a diagram of an embroidery of a black cat.

The body is embroidered according to the pattern from the head, due to the different directions of the beads, the effect of iridescence of the shirka arises.
Next, we take a piece of leather or leatherette, transfer it to the inside. side of the cardboard pattern. The cardboard base should be slightly smaller than both the brooch and the leather base. We cut off the excess, spread the cardboard with glue. Moment from both sides, make a "sandwich" - brooch (felt) + cardboard. We press the cardboard, press on it with our fingers - so the whole drawing will fall into place. Then, with a pen, mark the holes for the pin on the skin, insert the pin, apply glue to our workpiece - on top we put the leather with the pin threaded. We glue all parts of the brooch. It remains only to sheathe the edge of the item with ceramic green beads using the "American" method. We connect the beaded row with the edge of the skin.

The next brooch is a cat - Siamese. Siamese cats have a very different dark coat color, but it is always on the tips of their paws, ears, and tail. You can take in mk instead of black - brown edging color. The main thing is that there are color transitions, as in the photo.

For work you will need:

  1. Beige felt, average thickness 7 * 8 cm, two pieces of felt 5 * 5.
  2. Black leather, or leatherette 7 * 8 cm.
  3. Thread lavsan, or nylon.
  4. Pin 3.5 cm.
  5. Beading needles, number 12.
  6. A piece of cardboard.
  7. Tracing paper.
  8. Scissors.
  9. Clay Moment.
  10. Glass bead - 4 mm.

Round Japanese seed beads number 15 in two honey colors, brown, matte black and transparent. Small Czech seed beads number 15 - beige and light yellow. Blue - transparent and ceramic matt. The cabin is brown. Bugle iris in metallic color.
Using the diagram, we cut it out, put it on the felt, outline it using a gel pen. Separate the head, make another head pattern. We take tracing paper, and transfer the drawing of the eyes and mouth to the head pattern. Sew together parts of the pattern.

Siamese cat embroidery scheme.

We take black matte Japanese beads, and we sew the contour of the product from left to right in the "American way" (see in the 1st MK). Basically, we give the felt a frame by sewing the edges of overlaid patterns. Next, we pass the same beads along the trim inside. So the 1st row of sheathing became the first row of embroidery on the inside. Sew a bead in place of the nose, and bugles in place of the mouth. Next, we embroider the eyes, as in the 1st micron. Sew up the space around the eyes, nose and mouth with cutting and beads Brown... Next, darken brown places around the eyes, paws, tail. And further, towards the center - lighten the color. We decorate the brooch in the same way as the first one.

Another brooch is made of Japanese and Czech beads. You can use Chinese, similar sizes. Bead embroidery brooches - this activity will not leave anyone indifferent.

You will need it for work.

  1. Gray felt 7 * 8cm, white thin 5 * 5.
  2. Black leather 7 * 8 cm.
  3. Brooch pin - 3.5 cm.
  4. Lavsan thread.
  5. Needles number 12.
  6. Cardboard, glue Moment.
  7. Tracing paper.
  8. Glass bead (4 mm).

Beads: Japanese round, number 15: matte black, gray, honey, gray transparent, white ceramic. Czech small number 15: white ceramic, gray-brown, metallic iris glass beads.

We use the scheme: cut along the contour, transfer to felt using a gel pen. Separately, we make a pattern for the head, white muzzle, and also separately for all 4 legs of the cat. We take tracing paper, and mark on our first pattern where to sew the paws, and the tail. Cut out all these pieces from white felt, and sew on their designated places.

Take the gray matte japanese beads and wrap around the brooch from left to right in the "American way". Then we go through the casing with black matte beads - this is how the 1st row becomes the embroidery inside.

We begin by sewing a bead in place of the nose, and bugles in place of the mouth. Next - embroider the eyes, as in the 1st MK. Around the eyes - one row of brown - gray beads. Make stripes on the head with the same color. Then we decorate the muzzle with a white matte finish. We trim the white muzzle along the edge with matte gray.

We sew the edge of the previously sewn front paws with gray matte encore. Sew the feet according to the pattern. The hind legs are embroidered like this: first, embroider the pillow, then everything that surrounds it, and the claws are sewn in a circle. And only then the rest of the foot, and the contour of the foot. We make the tail according to the scheme. We make the abdomen last, using white matte beads. We make out in bulk in any direction. We make the back of the brooch, as in previous works.

Brooch with beads - Black cat

The Black Cat brooch will help us to decorate the child's wardrobe. We will be made of beads, and its shape is, of course, a cat, or rather a pretty kitten.

We need to work:

  1. Small beads in red, black and white.
  2. 2 pieces of black leather (leatherette can be used).
  3. Kitten drawn on a piece of paper.
  4. Pin (there is also special bases in order to make a brooch).
  5. Black threads.
  6. Needle for beads.
  7. Non-woven strip (slightly larger than the intended brooch, 6 layers).

We put the drawn cat on leatherette and outline it with a ballpoint pen or marker. You can secure the cat with a couple of stitches so that it does not move out while you trace it.

Remove the paper and draw the eyes, ears, nose, paws - in general, everything that is located inside the outline.

With a needle and thread, on which the knot is not tied, we pierce the skin from the inside out. Putting on the first bead. Insert the needle from the front side to the wrong side along the width of the bead.

Again, we withdraw the needle from the inside out to the front side of the skin, retreating the same distance. We try to continue to always adhere to this dimension.

We put a black bead on the needle, insert it from right to left into the bead that has already been sewn in.

Insert the needle into the skin from the “face” next to the first bead (do not indent). Now we bring the needle out again from the inside out, next to the second bead at the distance indicated above. We get another one and enter the second bead from right to left.

We introduce the needle again from the front side to the wrong side between the first two beads.

We embroider following this method.

You can also embroider the collar with red beads. We collect white ears using the same method.

Paws, eyes, nose - the same method.

We fill the inner surface. It is not necessary to follow the method used when embroidering the outline here. Fill in gradually, simply sewing in the beads, until you run out of free space.

When the work is finished, carefully, without touching the threads, we cut out the cat along the contour. We leave the mustache thread in a free state - we will make them later, after the wrong side is hidden.

The wrong side is neatly coated with PVA. This will give additional reinforcement to the threads.

We fix the base so that a brooch can be made from our figure. We fold the non-woven fabric into 6 layers. We put it under the cat and outline the head. It turns out to be an oval. Draw another one inside it.

In the center of the oval, mark the points where the brooch will be fixed.

We apply the base to the second piece of leather, which will be on the seamy side of the brooch. Mark two points of the brooch's edges. We pierce two holes. A pin will then go into them.

Sew the base of the brooch to the non-woven fabric. We will cut it along the oval, which is located inside.

We glue the blank to the cat figurine, pressing the brooches tightly over the entire area.

Let the workpiece dry. Lubricate the wrong side of the PVA again. We put the second piece of leather on the pin. We dry it.

We cut out our cat along the contour, coat the edges with glue, and press firmly. Next, we make a mustache for the cat: we bring out the thread left in advance in the right place, we collect five beads on the needle and again we pass through the first four things. In the same way, we make 3 antennae on each side.

The thread can be fixed in beads along the contour.
